At this point, I'm just waiting for someone to say their rod bearings blew cause their AC was on too high.

No what I was saying is that if you switch to a thinner oil and it blows up 3 months later it was going to let go no matter changing the oil or not. There are plenty of us on here that have been running thinner oil for longer than some cars run on the stock oil before they blow up.
