I do like the regular incandescent bulbs and I can see how the LEDs can be ricey. It's one of those mods that in itself is nice but its on so many ricey cars its hard not to make that association. Kinda of like how CF is awesome but there is SO fake CF everywhere it makes even the real stuff kind of off

I like LEDs and all, but still Halogen lamps are def more soothing to the eye too. Don't forget, with the fiber angel eye rings, Halogens do a better job at getting the full ring lit than LEDs do.

I got the Nokya 2500K bulbs the other day and put them in... Meh.
They're only a little bit more 'yellow' than the stock halogen bulbs. Output is not much better. |

I've gone through.... the following....
worst to best... 1. Luminics JDM Yellow (really, too JDM yellow, looks more neon looking) 2. Nokya Hyper Yellow/GP Thunder Golden Yellow (it's too golden, not my taste) 3. Hoen Endurance (Second to best next to Piaa) 4. Piaa Ion Yellow (My fave. I had all of the above tested on my old e60, and I ended up with the Piaa Ion, so now it's a repeat on my m3) ohh, also, if you guys are considering doing HID, one thing I dont like about yellow-hid is that with all metal halide lamps, it requires warming up.

Decided to give the PIAAs a try based on how good they look on your cars. I'm really tired of all the white led running lights you see on every car these days. I think the yellow stands out and looks a little aggressive.
Sorry for crap iPhone pics Oem vs PIAA |

I couldn't get the yellow to pop more on camera, but you get the idea. They are for sure more yellow in person, and look really cool. Here are some photos of it after being installed, enjoy
