Reading some of the tips on this web site will save you a fist full of cash (may it be Dollars Euros or whatever). Not only on fuel also on wear and tear of your car.
I know we all drive high end cars gas therefore should not play a role. Still the way we drive does play a role (as we all know) on our gas consumption and maintenance of our cars. Here is the page of tips some drivers put together ----> Click here to open the page My average on a long cross country trip last May in my M3 was 10.8 L/100 KM, this was calculated by recording all the fuel and milage. 80% highway at 10% above posted speed limits and 20% town and city driving.

19mpg here. Mostly highway. Average over 11K miles. And that includes many many many drops in speed (when safe) only so that I can go WOT back to the highway crusing speed (70-75 mph).

i drove for 2 tanks super light on the pedal and shifting early, only got 19.0, not worth the +2.7 mpg IMHO

I've averaged 17.1 MPG since I got the car. This includes 1500 mi in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy (autobahn, alps, stelvio pass, 6 laps of the Ring) during ED and 2k mi mixed LA driving (fwy, city, few canyon runs).

Mine is right in the 15 mpg range with a lot of highway driving. I drive a late night 2 hour drive about 2 times a week and kill a half tank each way. I usually have cruise control set in the 80 mph range. This is terrible haha.

My average (highway and city) is 12.4 L/100 KM. Not bad for a V8 like our car. I do not track my car and for now I have not reached the point for the first break in oil service ... so naturally I'm driving very carefully

I trust my own calculations because I doubt that the gas station is really giving me more gas than I am paying for. |

I get 14.1 averaged over 5000 miles. Maybe 900 miles are highway. I drive the living piss out of my car, pretty much all the time and constantly redline the car. I figure for what I calculate, about $5 a tank, I am going to enjoy my car, to the fullest.

I have probably 2000 miles on the computer since I reset it and am at 16.8 including 2 track days. Not bad! For work when I do long drives its right around 20.
