Can also add the headlight sensitivity switch to the instrument cluster by toggling through with the BC stalk for those without iDrive. If you have iDrive you can have it in both places. Also, efficient dynamics can be turned off using the BC stalk also and toggled if you don't want to see the display. Very cool stuff. I have about 20 videos that I want to post, just haven't had any time yet. More to come!! Have you successfully turned off the orange headlight LED on 2011.5 cars?

Absolutely -- Provided I can find it in the code, which I should be able to. BMW has changed a bunch of things from year to year, but 95% of the time I can locate the correct functions and perform the proper coding without issue. If you'd like me to disable the two LED's, please come to the meet and I'll take care of it there.

What's the orange headlight LED on 2011.5s?
Also, can you add automatic switching between day and night mode in iDrive? I can't believe that feature isn't standard on the 3 Series (but is on the 7 Series!?!) and I thought I saw it on your coding PDF at one time but it seems to have disappeared with the most recent version. From doing a bit of research, it appears some have had success getting the Automatic option to appear in iDrive but it doesn't actually work when selected.... Servotronic and Auto Start/Stop
Mike I emailed you about these, but in case others in the forum are interested, here are two more things I'd love to be able to have coded:
Having the Engine Auto Start/Stop on 2011.5 M3s start in its last state rather than defaulting to OFF? Someone got this coded by a dealer in Australia so it must be possible. Having M3s start in Servotronic Sport mode available so I don't have to push the M button to get it -- can't understand why BMW doesn't allow this!! Ideally I'd like to preserve a way to access Normal mode (maybe it can start up in Sport but if you go into M Drive and back out, it's Normal?) |

As far as the automatic switching, I think it may require some additional hardware. I've enabled the option, but am not convinced that it works properly - hence the reason why I removed it from the coding list. The best way to do it is probably to set a memory key (because it acts as a toggle when day/night are the only things on the list). If I code the automatic mode in, you lose the toggle because three options become available instead of two. Those of you in the LA area should come to the Individual Meet today and check out the coding in person. |

If your car has folding mirrors from the factory, then it's possible. If it didn't come with then, I should be able to retrofit the folding function provided that the mirror has motors and is wired properly to the car .

Just in case you're getting too excited, Mike just means he can enable folding functionality if you've purchased the mirrors that are capable of folding. If you didn't order them from the factory, you'd have to buy them first (and they ain't cheap). You can't take mirrors that don't fold and magically have them fold with a little coding.
