Nice, glad to see this being done.....call a vendor in Nov about doing this, and they we me off.....that vendor clearly will never get my business for anything. Big vendor name, but won't rat out----glad you found one willing to play.
Cheers, e46e92

I agree with you. Not too many shops would like this project. Earlier last year I was going to have this shop do a carbon fiber retrofit for my roof. But engine had a problem and had to change my expense plan.

I have been looking into getting an LSX engine into my e90. After seeing all the space in there, any idea how it would fit and can you take measurements of your stock engine so I can compare with an LS block?

LS7 similar cost to an LSX ??? where in the world do you find that??
I am pretty sure the LS7 is a few thousand more...when I searched LSx where around $1500-$3000 and LS7's are usually $10000-$15000

True, but that's why I posted the links above. They can be had for less now. As I've stated before that between the vette crowd, lsx is typically associated with a 454+ ci assembly, very expensive ($12k-$25k) and usually are not found as a used engine. The LS7 on the other hand can now be had for anywhere from $6k (cheapest I ever saw) to as high as $17k (new last I checked). Also, the LS7 weighs even less than the S65, allowing for an easier buildout because of balance issues, or the lack of them. Hope this clears things up for the 2 folks that jumped on me for stating what I know.

Less lsx and more s85... It seems like these threads always turn into ls-fests and get derailed, no offense to you mapleridge, I know you were just looking for help. But can we reserve this thread for the op to post updates on his build and not start polluting it with unrelated topics?
