Wiring in the engine bay done.
On the passenger side under the cabin filter area there is a gray rubber grommet that you can move all the way towards the center of the car, allowing enough room to push the white plug into the engine bay from behind the glove box/fuse. It's tricky, and blind, but after a couple minutes, you'll get it. I notched (the one part of this install that isn't very clean!) under the cowl and ran the wire along the back of the engine bay and zip tied it neatly until I got to the solenoid plug. Next up is the fuse panel connection and ground.

Some vids with Valves open. Very noticeable change with anything more than just light throttle input. Some drone between 2500-3000. Very happy with the aggressive sound and the option to keep it mellow. Thanks for following along the install. Hope all the photos and videos help others with the install or when considering the purchase. I'm a happy customer!

Can confirm that it sounds very throaty and snappy when valves are open. For the money, it's a great valved unit

Think mine came out of the box valves open. If not, this is gonna get rowdy. Done with install and waiting on my vacuum pump from Amazon
Update: The valves were closed; she be rowdy. Sounds glorious. https://youtube.com/shorts/PwUzfBn7U3A?feature=share |

Got my vacuum control box in and decided to start on wiring that up. I have a V1 hardwired using the V1 hardwire kit, so I had another RJ11 accessory plug available on that harness. I decided to create a custom cable for the vacuum box, removing the cigarette plug and connecting it to a mirror tap so I can just plug it into the V1 accessory slot.
Long story short, the box works great. You can pair it to homelink as well. Took a quick video to show it working: https://youtube.com/shorts/AmrVqSkw-c8 |

I finished the install but it's messy because I'm going to have to redo everything anyways. My jack slipped off the rear subframe while raising her up and cracked the plastic trunk floor. Luckily wheels were still touching the ground.
Either way, i mounted the controller to the amp tables on the left of the trunk. I grounded that and the pump to the chassis near there. I tapped ignition from the rear tail light bundle (gray+yellow). I may find a better source on second install. The solenoid and pump are screwed into the plastic tub but I may glue them to my new one. The vacuum hoses underneath were fed through a brand new hole I made. I followed the exterior lines of the tub and drilled holes in the ribs for the zip ties. Next go around I'm probably going to feed the hose through the holes. Either practice gives you plenty of room from any pinching heat shields. Pump I used: APDTY 015325-Kit 12V Electric Vacuum Pump & Wiring Harness Pigtail -HVAC Cruise Control 4WD https://a.co/d/eHsBx1t Last edited by Ajolives; 11-06-2022 at 01:11 PM.. |

Did anyone else need to tighten the actuator arms on the valves? The actuator feels tight as it's hard to turn them by hand.
My valves are closed currently but on start up especially I can hear the valves fluttering.

Looks good. Glad to hear your jack slipping didn't result in a worse situation!
