Good looking kit, these are great for street driving but I wouldn't buy one if I was planning on going to the track. It will make great torque but it is a heat sync sitting on top of the motor, and efficiency is not the strong point of positive displacement blowers.

The cooling is actually quite good. Under boost the IATs are on par with a centri kit.

If you were to get this kit and upgrade your oem oil cooler would it make this pretty bullet proof on the track?

Laid eyes on my kit yesterday. What a beautiful and slim design and loved the red crate. My shop will begin working on a bunch of stuff on my car today (im going to replace all reliability parts and a few add ons(alt, h20 pump, fuel pump, throttle actuators, radiator, high flow cats, clutch stop) while were in there and changing all fluids. VAC rod bearings already installed about 10k miles back.

I'm going to pick up in about two weeks and will write up my impression on the kit, but so far, fast shipping by BPM is a great way to get going(thanks Mike!). Will dyno it as well and Ill post the results. I have a feeling when all is said and done I will have the most sleeper vert in the ATL. Can't wait to unleash that power.

You're in ATL? What shop is doing the work? I'm here as well and seriously considering the kit

Mike was kind enough to take me on a ride today and let me say wow!!! That Harrop blower is nuts, the car is amazingly fast and yet very controllable in traffic when you are daily driving it. And the whole thing looks factory, its just a beautiful fit. It turned the m3 into a true supercar performance wise. I'm so excited to be getting my car back soon. Thanks for the ride Mike!

dyno.pdf

Heres my dyno results. Blue is before, Red is after. This is wheel hp and torque so after the typical drive train loss, crank adds up to 530 or so HP. Im running high flow cats and 93 octane pump gas at sea level.

Pick up the car monday and cant wait to drive it.

Mike,
is there anything wierd about how jerky the dyno looks at the end of the rpm band or is that just typical turbulence due to the blower? The Harrop charts look really smooth all along the powerband.

Also interested very in "Stage 2"

I know the other high power kits are probably overkill, but I'd love to see like a 600 version of this. Better low end than everything else on the market, usable, and less likely to be left behind against modern FI applications.

Not that the car is slow stock or at 530hp. I'm just one of those "it's never fast enough" types. And knowing the stock internals can handle more would irk me.

I think I read a while ago that they scrapped the Stage 2 version because the reliability of the setup dropped a significant amount.

Don't the other cars and dynos with the Harrop usually do 530rwhp and not crank? These seems low to me by a good amount.

+80 Hp and torque seems low for $10k and the risk to me. Sure it's rwhp but still.
Aren't centrifugal much higher?

Centri's range, but yes there are much higher kits on ESS/Gintani/VF, etc.

The Harrop is appealing because of the low and mid punch. It gives you more usable power on the street. That's why I was asking about a stage 2 being around a 595-625 kit. Not looking for 700hp, but a ~175bhp increase (50% minus loss from blower) would be phenomenal with increased midrange for street use.

Giving up 50-75hp over a Centri is fine and expected, but I'd love a well priced comparable ~600kit. Leaving ~120hp on the table makes it much harder.

Price is all consumer dependent on what they want and are willing to pay, so I won't bring that up =). To each his own.
