Attempted to replace a P/S hose and the reservoir today. Ended up fucking up, so now I’m done for the year. One of the hoses that connects to the cooler will not seat correctly causing fluid to spray everywhere. The other hose refuses to come off of the cooler, so I have to remove the radiator and AC condenser to replace the cooler and that new hose now.

We test drove a '17 grand Cherokee with the 5.7 hemi last night. Nice truck. I think we've about nailed it down and it looks like this is probably going to happen.
We just sank some cash into the 335d yesterday.. bad injector, carbon cleaning, def tank/heater (warranty), and a handful of cracked vacuum lines. It's running great, but mrs beef wants something for the dogs and this rig can definitely tow. Might be the perfect in-between in a limited segment of mid sized SUV's. The 335d still cleans up nicely and hasn't been wrecked or molested, so it should sell fine.

The 5.7 GC is awesome. You can add the SRT oil cooler if it doesn’t come with one (the older 5.7s didn’t, not sure about the new ones.) It’s only needed if you’re towing quite a bit and especially in the hills. It’s an easy retrofit.

Hey guys! Figured I'd post here instead of started a new thread cause its probably been covered, anyways looks like next week is my last chance to try a track day this year. I was wondering of any tips before I head out?
I've never done a track day so not sure I'm capable of boiling the brake fluid or melting pads, though whats the minimum amount of pad I should have front and back? Tires are PSS with under 3k on them, hoping to not trash them though if I love it they'll go away with the wheels to be replaced with a square setup! https://www.tracknightinamerica.com/...eka-october-17

Make sure you hydrate throughout the day, if you aren't peeing once an hour you aren't hydrating enough. Track driving is mentally taxing, as well as physical. Hopefully you have an instructor, so make sure you have goals set for the day. Learning the track? Or know the track and want to improve lines? Or expert at the track and want to eek out another 2/10ths of a second? Important to not overload yourself on the first day. And lastly... shiny side up! |

You want to go with a BMWCCA or PCA with an established instruction program. |

Ok, you can't post all these pics and not tell us more!
In all seriousness though, and apologies for my ignorance on your setup, but what amount of front camber are you running? There's probably some camera lens distortion here, but looks crazy in these photos. Also, curious as to why the choice of the Nexens?

the particular trim we are looking at is the "trailhawk." we don't need a second offroad rig, but if we happen to make a trip out to arizona or norcal and i don't have my crawler, i can still do a little exploring. however, i'm not going to go overboard with modding this thing for offroading... thats not why we're getting it. it really does seem like a good all around vehicle that checks all the boxes for our current situation. the only thing i "have to" do is put a flowmaster exhaust on it for the music. and maybe an intake. and mild cosmetics.

Eyes up, keep looking ahead. Don't worry about your mirrors, let your instructor manage that. If you can, put the car in one gear and use it for the whole track. It's a great way to focus on your driving, so you're not constantly shifting. Lastly, just have fun. |
