Can you comment on or even confirm that the U06 230ex will be based on the 4-pot B48 and not the 3-pot anymore? I guess the X1 30ex is too far out to say anything about (though it sounds logical they would go with the same drivetrain there).

I really can't say for sure, can only offer my guesstimated probabilities: 80% B38 and 20% B48.

A Taycan can recharge from 5% to 80% in about 15 minutes & the newer batteries will shave some time off of that ... As for lithium-ion battery fires, no special equip is need for a Li-ion fire: foam extinguisher, CO2, ABC dry chemical, powdered graphite, copper powder, or sodium carbonate just as you would any other fire. Class D extinguishers are only for lithium-metal fires, not lithium-ion batteries. I would guess once one track puts in a fast charger, they'll get all of the EV business and then all of others will follow ... but the thing is there probably isn't the demand yet. |

I handle the inventory at my BMW store and we've heard nothing about production for the G42. My guess is the November release date is correct. |

And in most cases I don't make the distinction between different SOPs of Euro and US models, unless they're more than a couple of months apart. |
