Anyone know what an exhaust shop would charge to make a quad exhaust from just the muffler area to the tips?
Car got rear ended so my carbon diffuser is cracked so thinking if I just want to get another one or go a custom route and have a quad exhaust made. |

When I did my dual for quads, shop charged around $60. I brought my own tips.

What do you think something like this would cost? It's hard to do a quad exhaust on the 135i due to the room underneath so people get creative and one guy did this for his m3 style quad: |

Lol yeah I'll pass on side exhaust. I already want to do a front wide body but people tell me I'm crazy for even thinking of that on a lease.

Ya rear can support 275/285 with the right offset / aggressive fender roll. But front max is 235 or 245 with camber plates. Front wide body would mean you would be able to do a 275 square setup which would be amazing. There is a local guy that is running 1:36-1:38's at Big Willow with his 135i with just basic bolt on's & street tires. With that widebody he should be able to easily be under 1:35 since the front tire size is the Achilles heel of the 135i. I personally did a 1:41 but I'd say I'm still a track newb.

Yeah I'm tempted. Or I could just wait until my lease ends and pick up a 1M with the stock widebody lol.

question is which would be lighter... i'm sure you can make the power of the 1M in your car. if you can do similar suspension and power but keep the car lighter, then why not haha

But no one can really predict how the 1M price market will fluctuate. Right now used 1M's with 2-10k miles are going for MSRP or even a bit over MSRP. In a few years that may still happen since only 740 were brought to the US or it could start depreciating normally. Also in 2 years the new M3 is out and no one really knows what it's capable of yet. If the rumors are true and it runs the tri turbo engine, kind of pointless to get a 1M with only twin turbo lol. I also have a soft spot for the E36, E30 M3's and E39 M5. Would be nice to get one of those to play with after my lease ends. Ah decisions decisions. |

Yeah the current 1M market is crazy. To much exposure / praise. Most of the big auto names have given the 1M car of the year instead of expensive cars such as the 458, McLaren, Aventador, etc. Due to that alot of people want one but they already finished bringing them in so the only ones still sitting at a dealer are for 10-20k markup so used ones are going for MSRP-5k markup.
I would say if you run into one at the next MFest meet or anything you should ask to drive it. Alot of people converted from M3's to the 1M's and praise about how much more of a driving experience the car is due to the shorter wheel base, tons of torque and basically a pure M3 suspension lol. But would have been nice if it wasn't a limited car =/. |
