Honestly , I fear the worse for the drivers...

Don't fret, it won't be a problem and you'll get used to it. Way back in 2010 four new teams joined the grid: Mercedes, Lotus Racing, Virgin Racing and HRT. That made a total of twelve teams taking 24 cars to the track. It wasn't a problem.

Negative . I don't fret , I only estimate the problems that may arise with the 6-7 sec. slower cars like the Aston and the Cadi.

These will definitely be lapped and probably DNF which is a problem in itself.
We don't like to watch races with 17 yellow flags and the safety car on track for 10 laps...

It was your "I fear the worse for the drivers..." comment that caused me to try to allay your fears by suggesting you not fret. Again, going way, way back to 2010, the HRT cars were dreadfully slow (one car was 8 seconds slower than pole sitters and the other almost 10 seconds off) and they were known to crash out or dnf and yet everyone stayed out of their way. Like I said you'll get used to it...the rest of the grid will figure it out.

I also think that the unexpected clipping on the straights may cause rear end collisions.

Hopefully we will have good racing on Sunday but my expectations are not very high.

Because many of the drivers will be clipping, those new safety lights flashing (when they are clipping) should do the job to warn overtakers that the car in front is slowing/has slowed.

A dubious claim at best.

Having been a spectator watching jets racing each other at over 300mph its definitely not the fastest racing in the world.

On ovals Indycars run faster average speeds than F1 cars can (due to suspension setup, aero and gearing), but it has been proven on street circuits where both series have run (e.g. CoTA) F1 is several seconds per lap quicker.

Agreed. I never believe anything 'they' say on TV anymore. But what if the claim is for 2026 moving forward and not with regard to prior F1 generation cars.

Odds for both drivers of a team to finish in the points....backing up the fact that the betting houses feel it's coming down to a fight between MB and Ferrari...and look at Haas and Alpine in the "best of the rest" competition.
