Looking good.

I took a look at RealOEM and the official description in German is schwarzchrom, so probably Black Chrome is the best way to refer to these BMW Individual "EDITION" grills.

In any event, looking good on your grills. Will take an updated pic of mine once I get the missing right black chrome grill.

Finally got round to fitting my MPE, sounds great (still pretty subdued as I'm running full cats), will post pictures once i've cleaned all the freakin pollen off the car again this evening.

Next up, RW carbon rear diffuser

ugh
this was such a pain in the ass
my friend had one of those pump extractor things
so i removed the filter and sucked out excess oil
had to do it about 7 times to get it to read normal

the overfill happened because i was rushing and didn't let the car drain fully
i put in 8.5L and it was overfilled
probably took out at least 0.5L to 0.75L

Oh right. Got locked out my car yesterday at the dealership? I thought I had my key in the pocket and when I pressed the comfort lock it locked the car. I was looking for my keys and then saw them in the driver door pocket. Luckily my friend was with me and BCAA (basically AAA) was able to come and get the door unlocked.

the dealership doesn't have some magical way of unlocking the car for you, huh?

shipped back my engine oil kit to FCP for the first time
thought USPS had a taller flat rate priority box ... but nope
i was already losing too much time so i just bought a box and shipped it by weight
$66!
19lb package
next time, i will divide up into 2 flat rate boxes for $40 total instead
live and learn

at least going forward, my oil change kit should cost me just net -$40

I saw a video where a guy used a pre-marked Tupperware bin and when he drained, it basically told him how much came out.. then just matched that on the refill... I think he was on an unlevel garage floor. People probably don't that already, but it made sense to me

Yeah I know, I said it light heartedly. That warranty is built into their price points so realistically everyone who shops there ends up paying for people returning consumables. Brake pads and wiper blades are one thing, but returning two gallons of nasty smelly engine oil and a dirty oil filter is another like you said after you paid for shipping you only netted $40 but it costs fcp $100. Haha!! I just feel for the poor returns guy who has to process it...
