Nice one, i thought the 600 kit required a manual gearbox..?
I,m in the market for a SC kit. I,m doubting between ESS and G power....

The RS6 did much better in the initial runs, but after that you got him, good kills! I love those GT-R's, I ran one rated at 675BHP and another at 720BHP, I pulled the 675HP GT-R and was pretty much dead even with the 720BHP one, they are so easy to mod, and for their weight are incredibly fast, I want one! Good pulls, thanks for posting, keep them coming!

He's rated at 650hp, going to be tough to beat a 735+HP GT-R with GOBS of TQ, but I think he did great. I'm pretty sure those #'s are at the crank on all the cars, anyway you slice it though, his car is fast.

I had the APR setup on my A4! I hear you! My E46 M3 performed flawlessly and so far my E92 has as well.

APR makes quality products, this was 4 years ago, I was one of the beta testers on the BT A4, it took a few months to get it dialed in, but once finished the car ran good, I just wanted something faster!

here is a link to that video reposted.
that is actually a car that belongs to a good friend of mine. i was driving it on the dyno that day. at 471whp it made 141whp over stock....we were hoping it would have been closer to 500. we installed RPI front pipes with no cats, x-pipe an Vorsteiner cat back. took the car abck to teh same dyno and it made 499whp. gain of 28whp from removing cats and doing exhaust. i have the run files at home, i keep forgetting to post charts in this thread. BTW for anyone interested, here is a build thread of this car on 6speed... http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/b...tive-more.html Last edited by prodigymb; 05-14-2010 at 02:29 PM.. |

Have you checked your intercooler circulation? If the pump is not primed and coolant does not flow you will be down ~20-30whp which it seems this car is.
Also check and verify boost pressure as you may have a a leak somewhere.

Water injection
I know Methanol has being discussed and it does not seem to work with the S65 and at least 1 specific ECU-flash ( not ESS ) due to the ionic knocking control used with this engine.
What about water injection only with the ESS kit ? Is it possible to use water injection with the "standard" ESS tune without negative side effects and of course, keeping the knocking control system of the S65 healthy ? As you might know I'm in the market to purchase an ESS-VT1 kit and I fully trust ESS that this non-intercooled setup works perfect in any ambient condition. Now, what happens if I decide to lower IAT's only on very hot summerdays or on the track by injecting water only ? No failsafe would be needed for running out of water thus the ESS-VT1 ECU tune is perfectly working without water-injection. I'm just curious. Thanks, Eugen |

Here is a dyno of the M3 we put together for my friend. All pulls done on 93 octane. If smoothing is set to 0 then whp hits 499 on the highest run.
1st dyno - bone stock 2nd dyno - ESS VT2-600 Supercharger Kit 3rd dyno - ESS VT2-600 Supercharger Kit - RPi GT Front Pipe/Cat Delete - RPi X-Pipe - Vorsteiner Titanium catback and connecting pipes |

The VT1 was designed and tuned to perform well in all conditions. There really is no need to run an external cooling system with it unless your goal is to simply make more power. If your goal is to make more power you would be better off just purchasing a VT2 kit. |
