Not sure how new/old your RS-3 is on this day, but it seems to grip good at the latter half of the Sweeper as you position your car on the left outside part of the track. On RS-3's I've run, it's not gripping all that well there, so the car is teetering on the edge and, once in a while, I wind up dropping a wheel into the dirt.

That's crazy u must be wide then? I don't go to edge of riverside cause it gets dusty sometimes. But I try to scrub a little speed prior to exit get lined up so I can be full throttle from as early as possible when going riverside to Phil hill. |

Thought I'd add this part in here STOCK vs KW CLUBSPORT 3 WAY Willow Springs International Raceway: 1:33:9 Vs. 1:32:8 = 1.1 seconds ButtonWillow C13: 2:03:6 Vs. 2:01:7 = 1.9 seconds Auto Club Speedway: 1:56:7 Vs. 1:55:1 = 1.6 seconds All on Rs3 275, stock brakes with hawk pad, stock engine/exhaust with dinan muffler. Kinda cool data to have. Last edited by TheKosherStogie; 12-09-2013 at 11:06 PM.. |

Went to the private day at Streets of Willow CW hosted by Christian and Tony yesterday. They put on a really nice day! Great guys! Relaxed atmosphere + low car count + open track = good day.
It was my first time at Streets. That track has a few wild and wooly moments.....if taken at speed, the downhill after the back straight is officially a sphincter moment.....sheesh. It was damn cold......Below 32 degrees until after 9AM. E90 M3 Track/course: Streets of Willow CW Best Lap Time: 1:24.45 Brakes: AP Racing - Cobalt Friction XR2 front/XR3 rear Tires: Hoosier R6 - 295/30/18 square on Volk G2 10" Suspension: JRZ RS Pro Other mods: VF620, Track pipes with stock exhaust, (no aero parts, full interior) Sadly, my lap timer's battery crapped out on me, and didn't capture a bunch of good laps.....it is possible I went faster than this, but alas, we'll never know! |

E92 M3 DCT Hankook Rs3 (3 track days old, hopefully w/ new can get 2:00:XX) KW Clubsport 3 way Stock engine, stock exhaust w/ Dinan muffler Stoptech Trophy BBK w/ the stoptech street pads which aren't good for the track. Thought I'd give them a go since they come with the kit. The Hawk dc70 has more stopping power on the stock brakes ;( Video 2:01:4 (get a bit squirrly around section 5, brake later and turn in later on cotton corner...hopes for 2:00) Last edited by TheKosherStogie; 12-15-2013 at 08:20 PM.. |

Hey DD, Get rid of those Stoptech pads and upgrade to some Endless pads. Friend's don't let friends use Stoptech pads. What size rotors did you go with? |

380/355 is the same setup on my Z06 too. Get some really good pads like Endless ME20's and you will never look back. Quiet enough for the street and have plenty of bite and modulation for the track. Some of the Porsche Cup teams have switched over from Pagid, and are using either Endless or PFC pads. They are a bit more expensive but they have lasted pretty long on my car. The fronts were replaced with about 15 days on them and the rears are not even half used.
I found a vendor off of GTR that gives just about the best price for the pads. |

^Endless ME20 ftw!
Two sets of fronts each lasted 13 to 14 track days, and the 3rd set I'm on right now has 11 days, with about 2 days remaining.
