Backing in has more pros then cons lol...
Pulling in has more cons then pros At any rate....my bumper used to scrape everytime I pulled in and out of my garage after I lowered it, I got used to the shit...plus its the underside of the bumper!

What I try to do when there are no other cars to judge by is just go by feel. As I'm pulling up to the spot with a high curb/stop, I pay attention to how much distance I'm covering as I near the curb. Then when I stop being able to see how close I am, I try to picture the distance being covered, erring on the side of caution. The M3 is a comparatively small car; it doesn't need to be pushed right up to the curb/stopper.

I have a hamman front lip and if I drove up to far it would definitely scrap. What I do is either just make my best judgement. But normally if there is a car in the spot next to me I use the reflection in the paint of their car. Or one in a store window always helps.
