Wonderful job guys .The comments are as helpful as the video. Really invaluable contribution to this forum. I want to get an exhaust next year so that is very helpful.

From the video, I am actually quite surprised how good the OEM exhaust sounds compared to the other ones. I am surprised because I was recently commenting to other forums members while a track event that the OEM is just too quiet at WOT and that a hi-revving V8 ought to sound more menacing. My feeling was that the exhaust sounded good from inside the car but was not "meaty" enough from outside.
That video just does not seem to correlate with that impression. Not sure what to think.

In any case, the AA exhaust is probably my favorite in the video. However, I am not liking the comments that is too loud inside the cabin at low to mid-RPM.
Maybe I am getting old too ;-)

After seeing this video i made up my mind. I like the deep tone the EISENMANN Race has. but its too loud for my taste even though im still in my Mid 20s. So i decided to go with an Eisenmann Sport + Fabspeed X-Pipe.

i still didn't get them yet. but when i do i will post some videos.

It was surprising to those of us at the meet as well. It is rare that any of us get to hear our own cars from outside, so we just assume that the exhaust is as quiet on the outside as it sounds on the inside.

I think this will be a very nice setup, both in terms of sound and power.

Great video and review. This is sooooo helpful for those of us who can't decide which system to get. Honestly, I was surprised on how good the OEM sounded.
I watched it once normally and the next time I listened with my eyes closed. I liked the AA and OEM the most.

I hope you guys have just started a great trend here where we can hear many more
comparisons with cars from members of the post.

Oh, we have plans to add in the Eisenmann Sport, Remus Race, Meisterschaft GT2, and a Gintanni w/ Gintanni catless x-pipe...

The camera positioning for the flybys only lets you hear intake noise. Nice work on that 2nd gear shift TLud. Also frankzlin79, whats up with short shifting every gear? You know its okay to go to 8300 RPM right.

Sorry, I shifted too early. Habit since I don't drive like I'm racing all the time. And we didn't have enough road to go to 8300 rpm. If we had a chase car, we could do that. Eureka, next video I shoot, we'll do it with a chase car on the highway..yeahhh!

Nah you just need to get a longer road and make sure the camera is ALWAYS behind the cars. Our cars make a ton of intake noise so pretty much any video in front of the car will be mostly intake noise. This reminds me I need to do an exhaust video for my car. Hopefully you guys will have a camera at the dyno day to capture some more exhaust video.

The way to "ALWAYS" have a camera behind the car is to either mount the camera to the bumper (not doing that) or have a chase car (perhaps a non-M) follow the M car.

If I'm not busy, but I probably will be, I'm suppose to be shooting a lot of the cars that participate in the Powerchip group buy in Houston on Nov. 13 and 14...that is if the event happens.

Well it was a big effort just to get all the cars in the video together. The next project, which will be Video #3, will just be taking the above and splicing in edits from the remaining exhausts (i.e. Remus, Gintanni, Eisenmann Sport, etc.). These new clips will be shot from all the same camera angles, so that the comparison stays a true comparison. Therefore, I won't be shooting any new angles in Video #3. Now, perhaps I can do the chase car idea in Video #4.

I can film any exhaust combination. The problem is finding somebody in town who's got that combo. I don't know of anybody in Houston who has stock exhaust and x-pipe. But JC919 (the OEM exhaust in the video) may be the very first one.

Thanks! This was incredibly helpful. Particularly since I'm still waiting and I needed something to pass the time.

Interestingly, the sound attracted the kids. Kids went for OEM or Eisenmann.

Although it sounds almost stock at cruising speed (3,000 rpm and above), between 1,500 and 2,500 the exhaust is extremely loud, both inside the cabin and out. Inside the cabin, it's not a drone, more like a boominess. In my opinion, it was a little overpowering at times, but admittedly, I'm very sensitive to that kind of thing. Down low in the rpm range, it is about the same volume as the Eisenmann Race. Obviously, up higher, the Eisenmann Race is much louder. I'm sure Frank can give a lot more input on the sound and day-to-day driveability. These are just my impressions from having ridden in his car.

The Eisenmann Race has a beautifully muscular sound from outside. No matter what situation it's in, it's clearly serious business. Inside the car, like you'd expect it is loud, but the sound is so nice, I didn't mind. Granted, I only spent a couple minutes inside Ajax's car, so I didn't get a sense of what it would be like to live with this exhaust in a daily driver situation. I also didn't get a chance to hear what his car sounds like at highway cruising speeds, so I'll let him comment on that.

Once you get into the mid range, the sound starts to flatten out, decibel wise. By the time I got to 4k, I was a bit more concerned with slowing Frank's car down...so I can't really say for the upper reaches of the tach.

Eisenmann Race:
God this thing sounds awesome! I asked Tom to do an extra-curricular flyby so I could hear it, and it really does sound great. It's like a tidal wave of V-8ness. From the inside, with the windows down, it has very nice tone all through out the rpm range. I get a lot of compliments on it.

That being said, at low rpms with the windows up, it's a bit too much for me. It is just as loud from the inside as it is out. I have learned to modulate it with gear and throttle settings, but as soon as you open it up, it's BOOM BABY right in yer kisser. That lasts until you get to 3100 rpms. On the highway, cruising in 6th, I don't think it's that bad at all. Again, once you have to give it a little more gas though, the noise factor starts to ratchet up. If you can handle the 'Business' end of the Race 24/7 so to speak, I highly recommend the unit. You aren't saving any weight with it, but it really brings out the V-8 if you know what I mean.

Myself....I must be getting old. Last week I purchased an E Sport from another member of the forum and hope to have it on by the end of next weekend.

Many thanks to Frank for putting this all together and sweating his balls off getting it done. I hope it helps you folks come to the right decision.
i appreciate both your inputs, i was thinking about both these exhaust system but didnt know which would be better. i love the sound of the Eisenmann but im not sure if i could take the noise all the time, would you guys recommend the AA instead?
