am i getting trolled? that is the shittiest straw man ive ever seen put up by anyone. please explain how you make the jump from me showing evidence counter to your claim that ephedrine is unsafe, to me not having 'self control'? seriously, i want you explain the logic behind it. that would be like you telling me that ephedrine is unsafe, and me replying, 'oh so what youre really saying is that you like getting bent over and fucked with a strap on by your mother.' the use of ephedrine and the level of 'self control' a person has are completely unrelated.

and please feel free to quote anywhere that i specifically mentioned 'lean muscle'. quote it in your next response.

im still waiting for the data to substantiate your claim that ephedrine is unsafe in the first place, but i wont hold my breath.

This is a gentleman's agreement done on our honor, cuz I'm not posting any queer shirtless before and after pics or anything. It's just an honest contest in good faith to see whose way is better.

Anyone want to take me up on the offer?
This is pretty silly...

Me being terribly out of shape, all I'd need is about a month to get back to my normal weight. Going from doing nothing like I have been for the last couple months to working my ass off isn't too hard for me, and I am sure I can lose at least 10 pounds in 2 weeks if I wanted to. 2 months and I could be well under my normal weight...

That's horribly unhealthy though. So you're saying we all challenge each other to something that could give one of us a heart attack or something.

Sounds logical...

EDIT: On topic, the only pills I take are for energy for workouts. Working 10-12 hours a day takes a toll, so when you need a boost, some caffeine and green tea extract works wonders. Also, multivitamins are vital.

I dont think we will see the OP around anymore... Either the heart attack from the pills or he has been run off.

It's when you eat too many calories in a 24 hour period. Also, this'll help muscle growth because casein protein is slow-digesting and takes up to 7 hours to be digested. This keeps something in your belly while you're sleeping instead of fasting the whole night which pretty much shuts down your metabolism.
it went over your head. joke fail.

Markoni-I agree with a lot of things you said, but damn bro, no need to be so aggressive.
I sent you an IM on AIM, I figure its easier for us to discuss it on there

slow down there, professor. metabolism is a pretty fancy word. i had to wiki it.

Metabolism is the set of chemical reactions that occur in living organisms in order to maintain life.
so what youre saying is that by 'fasting the whole night' (translation: not eating dinner), you are essentially stopping the physiological processes that are necessary to stay alive. in other words, if you dont eat dinner, you run the risk of dying in your sleep. dinner sounds like sewious bidness.

is this why people recommend eating 5-6 meals per day as well? does this stoke the metabolic fire, so to speak?

What's all this talk about quick fixes? Pile-o-crap.

Exercise (aerobic) regularly, try to change your diet, until you die.

If you want big muscles for the ladies and your huge ego, add some strength exercises (weights).

Cardio, cardio, cardio. Wasting your time with pills and weights.

Never stop exercising, and watching what you eat. There will be set-backs, stick with it.

I agree!

But you said that fasting for the night causes your metabolism to 'shut down', or in other words, its function reduces to 0%. This doesnt seem accurate, as Ive seen it mentioned that even prolonged periods of dieting lower metabolic activity to around 75% of normal. I was wondering if you could expound on your previous statement.

You also recommend 5-6 meals per day. What is the reason for this?

thats not really an issue in any industrialized nation, but yes, casein is a slower digesting protein with a very good amino acid profile. i have a cup every night.

5-6 meals compared to 0 meals, yes, this statement would be true.

5-6 meals compared to 2-3 meals, this is not true, and the idea is based on outdated research.
