Here's some photos that we snapped of the car in the middle of getting some boost.
Here are a few pics of the major components that the Active Autowerke Stage 2 kit consists of. We also opted for AA's methanol injection system, although it's not pictured....yet. We opted for this beautiful carbon fiber version of the AA intake plenum, which comes with a matching intake box cover The HKS GTS8550 Supercharger is an unit that AA has years of experience working with, and is custom made to their specifications. The AA system utilizes a custom front mounted air-to-air intercooler and an independent supercharger oil cooler with large 3 inch tubing to supply cold air. Here are a few pics of the HKS blower mounted using CNC aluminum machined brackets to OEM bolt locations. We are finishing up installation soon. Just need to pop in the MSS60 ECU with the new software from AA and start her up. The car will be breaking in the kit on the drive down this weekend Stay tuned Gents, more pics, video and a dyno will be available in the next few days. Although you can check it out yourself in person this weekend at BimmerFest Last edited by Cal@Sonic MS; 05-13-2011 at 03:10 AM.. |

Almost done...
Here you can see the AA signature "green" performance air filter. Pictured here are the two massive BOVs utilized in the AA kit, mounted to the intake plenum. Here's a pic of the AA methanol injection circuit board control which fits snugly into the OEM ECU box. And here you can see the 1.8 gallon meth tank which is mounted in the boot. 50/50 mix with distilled water. Now...time to get her fired up... |
