Ended up ordering the FL pan with new OE bolts and 6L of Pentosin DCT-F. FL says there's just under 1L of additional capacity. I may or may not try to tilt the car to get the full 6L in. Will give impressions when it's unpackaged and installed.

I just wanted to provide some info about the Fall-Line DCT pan that I just installed. When laying flat on the counter, the pan is 48mm tall in the front and 34mm in the rear. When installed, the bottom is level and sits just above the x-pipe tubes. Previously I was running a BMS pan that was 52mm front and back, which made the rear sit below the x-pipe when installed. In order to run the BMS pan, I cut out the center of the felt transmission undertray. The Fall-Line pan is now almost exactly flush with the opening in the undertray. You may be able to fit the undertray over the Fall-Line pan, but I suspect you would need to trim the front edge of the undertray which has a radius edge.
The Fall-Line pan is beautifully milled and the o-ring design allows the pan to sit flush against the transmission case. The BMS pan used the OEM gasket design, which in theory give a bit of cushion if the pan bottoms out but takes up a few millimeters of clearance.. Unfortunately i lost about 0.5L of capacity going to the Fall-Line pan, but we are moving to a new house where the neighborhood has rediculously high speed bumps. While I have never bottomed out on speed bumps with the BMS pan, I donÂ’t want to think about it ever time I pull into the new neighborhood. I could not find where I packed the OEM pan, but I would estimate that the Fall-Line pan gives you an additional 0.5 to 0.7 liters of capacity over the OEM pan. |

Here are some pics comparing the Slon vs Fall line.
I measured the Slon pan to be 3mm taller in the front and 2mm taller in the rear. Both pans have the same interior depth front and rear. Last edited by MK599; 05-03-2021 at 03:44 PM.. |

I know this is old but, I am trying to decide which DCT Billet pan to get. Has someone been able to compare those to the M4 GT3 Pan? Supposedly the DCT is the same, but BMW made bigger motorsport pan to fit. I searched the part number and seems to be around $800 from BMW.

Altho, it looks like the pan gasket is not in stock and is nowhere to be found...? Update: I went with the Fall Line pan since I couldn’t find a gasket for the M4 GTS/M2 CS Racing pan, and so clearance wouldn’t be an issue since my car is still also a daily driver. Update #2: The only place I could find a separate DCT pan gasket was rockauto for $54. Combining it with the BMW Motorsports pan is only $80 cheaper than the Fall Line setup, and the Vaico gasket is probably not viton, so sticking with Fall Line. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...&pt=8612&jsn=8 Update #3: The Fall Line pan is out of stock until July. Hah! Update #4: Ordered the BMW Motorsports M2 CS Racing/M4 GTS pan from the motorsports guys at Rahal BMW. Great guys, fast shipping, and was only $710! They think it comes with the gasket. Will update with pics and whatnot when I have it. Last edited by ZM2; 04-13-2022 at 10:53 PM.. |

I did find that SLG also has oil pan gaskets on hand: https://www.seemslegitgarage.com/pro...dct-pan-o-ring I’m waiting for my M2 CS Racing/M4 GT4 pan to show up from Germany this week to hear if it has a factory gasket or not. If not, will go with SLG or Rockauto. |

I have a SLG "big momma" pan coming in next week, I'll post pics and a review when I get it installed! Might have my friend with a CNC fab up an extended pickup tube like the Slon design. Picked this pan due to the better gasket, larger volume and my past experiences with SLG... Also, it's easier to source with the whole sanctions thing on Slon in Moscow
