Ouch
That sucks on the clear coat. But, tomorrow is the day. I just heard my car was released to transport and should be hear early next week. Seems like an eternity...

Wow my car is STILL at VPC. Lesson learned. Never get extra stuff installed there. What takes me an hour or less to install on my own has taken them a whole week. By the looks of it, I won't see my car until next week now. 3 months without your own car is just torture.

My SA called me this morning to tell me that my car was released to the carrier yesterday. He said I might be able to see my car today. But then he called back after contacting the trucking company and told me they wouldn't deliver until Monday at 2pm. So I won't get my car until next Tuesday.

I think my SA is off on Mondays. That's probably why he pushed for Tuesday. I've waited this long so one more day won't hurt.

Fair enough! I know our cars are almost twin brothers, so you have to catch up... I have 600 miles on mine already. Drove it out to Turlock and back yesterday with a friend -- sold my MZ4 to Carmax. It's an amazing car out on a road trip!

I hope so. I plan to hit 1200 miles within a week.

Ok scratch that. I'm seriously going to kill someone at VPC. Turns out there was a scratch on the bumper and it was taken back to VPC to get repaired. Won't see the car for another 3 days at the very earliest. Someone really doesn't want me to take delivery of this car.

I had some not-so-good body-shop in Pleasanton do mine, and they added clear only. Just added it on top. So in theory it should last longer and allow me to polish it more. It's not perfect, though - even after I sent it back and they had another shot at it. There were some fish eyes and the area with the scratch has some pinholes and weird texture. But you have to look super hard to notice, and the bumper will chip up real fast anyway, so it's not worth bothering about anymore. I hope you get your car soon! |
