I'll revive this recommendation thread with my endorsement of The Works Auto Body (Santa Clara). Their contact information is in the first post of this thread but I'd like to add my testimonial.
Works Auto Body repaired my rear bumper after a Porsche Cayenne backed into me in a parking lot. They were fast and courteous with an on-the-spot quote for repair and were on the insurance company's list of approved shops. The owner and shop guys were nice and flexible about my drop off, taking me to Caltrain so I could get to work. They sent out the bumper to be reformed and rescued the rear park sensor in the damaged area. The final color match was excellent and quality of the paint was so close to factory that I could not tell the difference. After the repair, Works washed my car with care (I watched as I arrived) and the whole job took no longer than 3 days. Excellent work and first-rate service, I recommend this shop to friends and coworkers. |

Just moved to SF.
Any suggestion on which Stealership/Dealership to go to that's mod friendly? Car has tune/euro coding/mods etc. The car is 2009 but has platnium extended warranty Problems: -For some reason my driver seat sits very high, it's not as low as other BMWs or M3s. Unless US Spec E92 M3 sits higher? Friend's Euro Spec E90 sat a lot lower -Nav seems a bit kookoo. 09 car. The route it takes me is completely off, compared to google and also my personal knowledge. It would often take the longer route with lots of unnecessary turns. -Nav, I cannot cancel the route when I decide I no longer need it. Once I cancel it, it pops back up and re-routes Car Wash: -I live in Marina. Any good hand car washes around SF (willing to drive a bit if necessary) that knows how to take care of black cars (very anal about swirals, and this is my first black car, always had white cars) that isn't crazy money Thanks a lot |

For clear bra, I've used this guy named Jeremy and he rents space from a shop in Belmont, CA. He's good, uses 3M Invisiguard, and is also mobile. PM me if you're interested in contacting him. |

Just gave Rocky Mountain a call since I needed to get R8 front windows done.
He told me mid June is his first available which is too long so not going to use him. Price wise he's a bit on the high side but not outrageous... 2 front windows is $50 per window and I wanted a brow done (6" strip on front window) and he said that was $60 more so $160.

Can we add a list of tuners to this?
My recommendations are: Mr. Tint, Santa Clara -- for tinting and clear bra. Does great clean job, also accepts cash discount. Alloy Wheel Repair, San Jose mobile -- Perfect refinishing of damaged rims... I had my rims busted to shreds at America's Tire, and these guys restored them to new. Manuel's Auto Detail, San Jose -- honest and cheap detailer who does a phenomenal job. Full detail includes clay barring and waxing. Car looks like new. He's removed horrible swirling I got from the dealer at purchase and many scratches.

Need to re-install my stock crank pulley, don't feel like doing it myself. Where can I go that can do it and won't charge me an arm and leg? I'm located in Vacaville

Check our Keatly Detail in SF. They perform standard car washes/detail which aren't that expensive, and they do good work on dark colored cars. |

Not quite in the south bay but TrackSpec AutoSports in Fremont is very thorough. Great group of guys with a ton of experienced with euro/jdm and other enthusiast preferred platforms.

"Has anyone used Edge Motorworks for performance upgrades (shifters, BBK, pulley, etc)? If so, how was your experience?"
I used them (Mt. View) recently for Tire/Wheel mount, balance and alignment on my M3. Work and service excellent, however... Was considering them for an exhaust upgrade and a pulley change but pricey. Worse when I could source new parts cheaper directly, they complained of losing margin on the parts too!! As a result looking elsewhere.

Dynamic Detailing in SJ had also been getting a lot of positive reviews. We should add them to the list.
