I assume that's the with dealer markup. There's no way the MSRP base price will be above 60K.

You have to be stationed in Europe or have TDY orders to Europe to order the car from Pentagon Car Sales.

He said that's what he expects base MSRP will be. I could have placed an order for the car for whatever MSRP would be, and there would be no dealer mark ups. If this is the case, and I don't see why my CA would lie to me, it should be interesting to see how the car does because a base 911 starts at only 7k more.

Nobody has mentioned that BMW only sets aside so many cars for the military sales program. If you try to order a 07 e92/3 you'll see that you have to wait till for 08 production. As for the e92 M3 there will be even less set aside for the military.

I wonder how many active duty folks have actually taken advantage of this. My deposit/waiting list spot was established ~APR 06. Could I be the first?

That's what I got my M coupe for from Pentagon (premium incl). So that might be about right for base price on the new M3. Usually get about 10% off of MSRP.
Plus...if you can swing it right you can get it tax free...

I actually have a Apr 08 allocation for the new M3 through military car sales. I am deploying to the middle east. Pentagon car sales said they will probably have 15 allocations for 08.

Yes it is true...I have mine on order too at $49500 and Terry H. is also my sales guy. Since I am a little lower down the list than some of the others for the 2008 allocation...my purchase order lists 30 May 08 as my delivery/production date with me taking US delivery here stateside hopefully that summer!

Recent info from mine was that orders and options would be out sometime in mid Dec/early Jan 08 for those that have confirmed orders and put $$ down. Deliveries from my guy at Pentagon Sales for me (I think I must be like the last guy or so in line for the remaining 08 allocations) should commense in May 08 according to my purchase order.

Hahah. That's not exactly true. Some states actually allow you to purchase a car in that state and you don't have to pay sales tax if you are in the military. SC is one of those states. Just make sure you're HOR isn't the same state.

1. You have base price and options prices 2. You have selected your options 3. You have a deposit down (maybe not required) 4. Your order has been placed from Military sales directly with BMW in Germany who now have your car in their order and build system. I think you must have a different definition of "order" than the rest of us. |

If you can really get this...then PLEASE take advantage of this. Quick question...do any of you who are currently active duty know if ex-vets can have the same access to military sales? Or do you have to be active duty? I am an ex 11B who served in Desert Storm...which makes me ancient to some of you guys. Thanks in advance. SS
