I also did not have to wait for a "rebate check." They took it off the final negotiated price and I was done with it.

Does anyone know IfI can attend a event in new jersey I would love 1 K coupon that would be nice. But as always I bet I am too late. If someone is not going to use there coupon and it is going to be wasted I sure would love to take it off you'er hands.

Dice13,
Did you call the 1800 number to see if any event is still available around your area? The $1000 rebate is not transferable....since the code is name matched. |

The closest one I found is 2 hours away and they said all spots are filled. That I should take the drive cause they are sure someone won't show up or someone will cancel.
I would like to know did you guys that allready have own, lease a BMW at the time the event started, get a letter sent to you informing you of the event. I really hate to miss out on this. |

But I also read someone said you can use it for cap cost,in that case where they want cap cost from me I could give it to dealer I would think. I hate to drive 4hours roundtrip and not be able to use it. Ihope more chime in. My car is a September build maybe early October pick up or late September.

I leased with BMWFS before, got $1k gift notice post card in the mail> called to register and operator also told me "all spots are taken and I have to take whatever available"... I took whatever spot/time was avail etc,. > when I finally came to event, it seemed i was only one of very few with prior-registry over the phone, many people just showed up, sort of like "walk ins" and everyone was taken in. You see, the real and final registry is at a special table at Dealership Entrance,- it is that table is where your DL info is taken and other info and you are getting locked into certificate... atleast that's what I thought it was... Hope this info is helpfull.
P.S. Most likely you could just walk in and participate in the event,- just need to find out which dealership to go to. If it all works out,- 2 hr drive is WORTH $1k bonus! I used my $1k coupon as Cap Cost Reduction without any problems. I just had to print the $1k Coupon-Certificate that was originally e-mailed to me, and the print out I had to fax to my dealer> easy does it! For some reason, I could not e-mail or forward via e-mail certificate to my dealer,- I thing forwarding and such has some kind of block for this Certificate, so we would not be able to forward it to anybody... sort of like "you have to present it "in person", or via "fax"

Okay I have many questions. If one has a contract would it make a difference with if I got the voucher after giving a payment for the fees. Would it matter if one had a production number. Can the voucher be used as cap cost or towards an option. I was told voucher must be used by September 30th and vehicle must be picked up by then. I told them how can we pick up a car when they close shop for a month. They stopped taking orders for two weeks, and still won't build a car cause there's no prices. I told them they are running a Mickey Mouse operation, knowone knows shit. The Dealers that sell BMWs car don't have M3s to look at or drive they can't even give prices or tell us when they shut or open or exactly how many days they shut down. Then give vouchers that can't be used unless vehicle is picked up on a car that cost fing 80k that BMW can't price so car can't be made for weeks total over a month and a half. What the f*&k, are German auto makers that Fu**ed up. To run a billion dollar company. Sry I has to get it out. BTW after six hours roundtrip to chase a voucher I don't have a good feeling about. BMW. I have a feeling many are going to get screwed by BMW,LIKE they giv a shit. I think we should start a partition and be heard.

I went with a friend to pick up her X5 today...$1000 was taken off the pre-negotiated price as promised by the drive event....I'll do the same when I pick up my M3 in a month.
Dice, you will have to take delivery of the car before 9/30...or the allowance will expire. |

it's an effort to clear 2010 cars in inventory from dealer stock. A very common thing for car companies...

Dice, this is why I ordered my M3 on July 6. The coupon has to be applied by Sept 30, meaning delivery of the vehicle. You can use it anyway you like, either lower the negotiated price or take a $1000 credit on money due at signing like taxes , etc...
