Called the 1800 number and it mentioned production started and estimated completion date on production is 3/11 , that is a very long build (2/22-3/11). Even our 750li individual's production was shorter, it started on 11/9/10 and completed on 11/16/10.
I wonder if they are still trying to find cows for the leather and pianos for the wood trim ? |

The website finally shows as the production complete. 22nd Feb shows up as in production and 17th March as production complete on the website. The phone has been saying production complete on the 11th , and went back to still in production couple of times. Now the phones says awaiting shipping to the port of exit. Now wonder how long it will take me to get on a ship ?

Based on my recent experience, if the web just now showed enroute, your were enroute many days ago, if not almost a week ago. See if your CA can give you the ship name - K-line has no way to actually search for VINs like WW unfortunately as you know.
Hope you did made it!

In the E93 M3 the leather is standard, so the charge for Individual (Extended leather included) is less than the $4025 MSRP charge. In the E92/E90 M3 with Premium Package 2 it should be less than $4025 (around $1800 invoice difference, IMO), but let me find out for a fact.

The Premium Package 2 is still priced at $2500 and the Individual Interior is priced at $4025 so the total is an unchaged $6525 MSRP/$5950 invoice. Note that the $4025 of the Individual interior includes the $1100 of the Extended leather and the leather seatbacks (unknown price) so in reality losing the $950 Novillo leather "credit" from the Premium Package 2 items represent less than $950 in the price difference. By the way, the only requirement for an Individual Interior is the Navigation system (Extended Leather is only produced for the iDrive dash). Premium Package 2 is not a requirement. So that's explains why a common quote for an Individual Interior is "$7000" - in reality it is $6125 MSRP. The reason of the $2575 Individual interior price for the E93 M3 is -as stated before- due to having Novillo Leather as standard equipment, although that's a $1450 (Dakota Leather option price in the 3-Series) difference instead of a $950 (M3 Novillo Leather option price), but that's the way BMWNA do its thing... |

damn, if I had known you could do an individual interior when I ordered mine I would have done it for sure. I guess I'll just have to go home and kick the dog.

Individual interior was possible in the E46 M3 at least since 2004 as well, it is just that either it is not that well known by dealers or they simply do not see the monetary benefit in working with a customer for months just to make an extra $350 or so.

Waiting sucks... I ordered a Dakar Yellow individual E93 on March 12th, took over a month to enter production, and production itself took 2 weeks. So I also had a long production wait as you did. According to the 1-800 number, production will be completed today. Hopefully it won't take too much longer to arrive! Enjoy your new M!

I still don't have the car, probably by this weekend. Now I am sort of wishing I should have gone all out on the individual, including the paint, the carpets, stitching and so on... sort of like Marks M. Oh well for the next car then.
