Yep, it’s added to a euro bumper.

Spoke with the guy today and he is taking it over for a PPI tomorrow morning I think. Seemed like a decent guy.
So assuming the PPI is ok, I'll be bringing this home pretty soon. Gratuitous pic to make this post interesting. |

PPI was done at Gebhardt BMW in Boulder, CO and everything came back fine pretty much. The only things they recommended were:
1) Oil Change (The owner at Red's said they just did an oil change and even got the oil and filter from this BMW dealership. They used all OE stuff and will send me the receipts.) 2) Rear tires are almost bald and front tires are only marginally better. This was disclosed already by the owner at Red's. 3) Dealership said Brake flush was needed. Red's thought this was suggested based on 50k mileage, but not sure why they think its necessary. 4) Needs alignment. Red's says car tracks straight and tire wear is even. Other than that, no problems. The dealership quoted repair bill was only $1300 so not bad at all. I'm planning on doing the Rod Bearings pretty soon after getting the car, so I'll be changing the oil then anyways. I'll change the tires when it gets to me and I can get the alignment checked as well. Gotta pick a set here though. I hear good stuff about the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ for wet and dry traction. Brake flush I can do myself. I also have to find a shipper. Direct Express Auto Transport seems to have good reviews and reasonably priced at $770 (no rush open carrier) to $1320 (rush with enclosed trailer). Car is locked up with deposit and I'll hopefully close on it in the next 2-3 days. |

This sounds like a very clean car, congratulations! For tires I prefer the PS4s which are also very good in the wet. I've run the AS3 (not the +) and it's an excellent tire, I just think the PS4s is a little bit better |

May be more of a project than you want to do, but you can retrofit NBT into your car fairly easily (may cost $3k though) even if you didn't have Nav to begin with. Last edited by 330xi_dd_CT; 03-13-2019 at 11:17 AM.. |

Earliest I could have 3 days off would be in 2 weeks. Airfare according to Expedia would be $134 if I booked that now. For 1900 miles, thats probably 9 fill ups at $40 each plus 2 hotels at say $115 per night and food/tolls of course, so on the low end its about $800. It would be a fun adventure and I do like road trips, but I'd also have to drive for 2-3 solid days without much relaxing time before starting work again monday morning. It would be a pretty tiring weekend and realistically I'd spend less and get the car at either the same time or a little sooner with just getting it transported. I've driven cross country before and had a great time though, so maybe I'll be impulsive and do it |

It was interesting to do it once but I'm not sure I'm doing it again. It's more expensive than you think especially when you add in the potential risk. I'd bring it in an enclosed trailer and call it a day |

Congrats. Welcome to the SSII club!
I second the ps4s ....fantastic tires. I dailyed my e90 up until a few weeks ago...now I split time with an old beater Yukon (building a house...need space to haul junk around) but I smile every morning cranking this puppy up! |

Nice! Looks like a hell of a pick up at that price. Have you secured shipping yet?
I know BOOF-M3 has a shipping contact that has moved many cars around for members here on the board. I came close to using them for a car in Arizona in fact - price was good and references were better! |

Otherwise, car is paid for and just finishing paperwork and setting up the shipping. It should be here by the end of the month. |

M3 arrived today!
I used BOOF-M3's shipping contact. They were very reasonable and he responded well to my texts during the week. No pictures today since the car needs a really solid washing. Any pics I take will make it look worse than the one I posted above. I will say though that SSII has a much stronger blue undertone in person than I could see in the pictures. I love it! And the extended palladium silver is far better looking than I could have expected. I was prepared for it to be a typical grey color, but its a rich, dark grey with blue undertones. I am really impressed by the color combo. As expected, it needs tires asap. The rears are basically bald, so I'm assuming the previous owner did some burnouts before trading it in. As for other wear and tear, the seats have some scratches that I hope I can hide with some solid leather treatment and a bit of dye, but no rips or anything like that. There is a decent scratch down to the plastic of the front bumper on the passenger side that'll need some touch up paint. Other than that, I plan to get the bearings done in the next 6 weeks and I may do the Throttle actuators preemptively with the mpowermotorsports units from Abdul just so I don't go into limp mode on some longer trips I have coming up. Lastly, CIC is a massive leap forward from CCC. I'll get some pics posted up after I get her cleaned up tomorrow, since its supposed to be in the 60s. |
