Well do you want earth shattering or refined exotic? One says look at me I'm loud, the other says look at me I'm something special. I'm not looking to wake up the neighbors. The MPE manages to bring out both the snorting/bass character as well as high pitched F1 sounds that this engine was meant to sing. This clip sealed the decision for me. Skip ahead to 0:40 for a great example of the external sound.

I too had OEM mod prior to MPE.

OEM mod is far from the MPE and sounds rather crude. I actually think straight up OEM sounds better.

MPE has a distinct howl of its own I'm guessing do to the inconel canisters. It sounds exotic and refined.
