I wouldn’t call this a project, but dude. Game changer. Crack the garage door about two feet and this puppy has proven critical for garage time. Got it at the right height to grab and move depending on where I’m working but high enough to clear the shelving underneath it. Draw string to choose fan speeds, too. Totally recommend!

Way cool! I know nothing about this, but always think it looks cool and have assumed it was asphalt. What’s the process?

i guess every 2-3 years for those with asphalt driveways you're suppose to have it sealed. i knew nothing about it until my neighbors had theirs done. cost me $283. they basically patched any big cracks and pretty much squeegee the sealant over the entire driveway.

Damn I would have figured well beyond that. Just the aesthetic is worth more than that.

You can put a sealer on your concrete, it makes a huge difference. I think should do it more than every 10 years though

Finally built a proper shed to get the gardening tools out of my damn garage!



HUGE props to Makita for their 36-volt LiIon cordless skillsaw. Picked this guy up specifically for this project. I cut very single piece of framing, chipboard, cedar panel, everything on a single charge. Completely blown away by this thing.

This is a similar version that I liked a little bit better if you can find it in stock somewhere. It has a smaller footprint and is a little easier to maneuver due to that. Almost all of the other specs are the same.

I've used a Skill Mag77 for years so I'm just a little more used to that format of having my hand back behind the saw instead of on top. Like you said, specs are virtually identical so I think it just comes down to personal format preference. I have an indoor workshop for woodworking with a dust collection system so I'm not too concerned with having a dust port on the circular saw given that I only ever use it outdoors. Inside I'd use the table saw or miter saw.

Pics with water will be forthcoming in a couple of days - should be full tomorrow afternoon. Quite when I can get said detailer in the pool is another matter, and getting a photo of her in the bikini might be pushing my luck but if the opportunity arises...
