I believe the service interval is 37.5k or 39.5k, I forget what people say. Doesn't kill to change them anyways if you think they haven't been done. You should always change the plugs on a used vehicle you purchase, free up that power.

Been putting way too many miles on the M (~105k!), in both sh*tty weather, and piss poor road conditions. Was starting to get more and more frustrated.
Decided to buy a used beater with a full warranty (Camry Hybrid) so I could stop using the M3 for my daily commute and drive the sh*t out of it without worry.

This is one of the easiest and most rewarding fixes. I did my front and back after 5 years. Can't beat a $40 fix! Cali sun destroys shit. Where you at Roastbeef?

Just got her back from the dealer after some warranty work:
New DCT mechatronics seal and fluid New valve cover gaskets and spark plugs New thermostat and coolant sensor and fresh coolant Oh how I missed her...

How long would you guys say I have left on these valve covers? It's a 2009 with 100K miles.
I just spent ~ $5K on BE bearings/mounts, new plugs, underbelly pan, tires.... if I need more mandatory 'work' done on this car in the next month or two, I'm going to need to also hire a lawyer for the divorce.. |
