Just got a call with an update letting me know that my rear diff should have arrived this week, but like someone mentioned, it seems like they forgot to ship the other parts needed for the install, lol. I guess that's some sort of progress though, the diff that arrived was ordered to my VIN#, so its guaranteed to be put on my car (she said hopefully early next week). Was told they would call me again by EOB on Friday with updates.

Like edwinm3 said, I doubt there is a difference. But yes to your question, the car has the competition package

Purchased a 2016 M4 with competition package Saturday July 30th agreeing to pick up the vehicle Monday August 1st from a dealer in the Northeast. That Monday, they notified me of the differential recall and I would have to wait a couple weeks to take delivery but they would honor the agreement (free option). Today, my ca wrote back "the news from BMW isn't great, so I wanted to give you options and time to plan: They don't expect a fix for any M3,M4, or M6 cars to occur before the end of September." In addition to this disappointing news, they would have to re-appraise my vehicle that btw is a BMW with an air bag recall. I'm fairly confident if they lower the value of my vehicle I should be able to do the same dollar for dollar on the M4 but frankly that should depreciate faster.
At this point I'm tempted to order a 2017 M4 but will most likely not be able to get $200 over invoice, 62% residual and .00116 mf. Furthermore, beginning in 2017 maintenance does not includes brakes. |

At the dealer not the port. Last time it was at the port was a month ago.
![]() As a note to all the Canadians: the contacts on page 23 are useless for us. BMW North America only applies to the USA (I guess Canada must be in Asia then...) and BMW Canada is a different entity with different contacts, which is just f'ng great. I did get a reply from Jess is 5 minutes flat which is pretty amazing and he promised to pass on my email to the BMWCA folks (nothing but praise to him), but I have zero expectations from them given what information BMWCA has provided me with over the last 3.5 weeks (ie. nothing, zero, zip, nada) |
