hey everyone, I just picked up an e92 that came with a F80 brake retrofit on front and rear. Does anyone here know if 18" RI-A's will clear those brakes?

Love this photo thread! FYI to all: I'm going to be pulling my Custom-Finished BBS RG-Rs out of storage and listing for sale by the end of the month. It was a very aggressive setup for our E90 LCI 335d, but I'm pretty the specs are on-point for the M3 crowd...
Front: 19x8.5 ET32 BBS RG-R custom finished in Midnight Blue / Mag Blue
Rear: 19x10 ET25 BBS RG-R custom finished in Midnight Blue / Mag Blue
Custom Finished in Volk Racing Mag Blue as seen here (SORRY IT'S NOT AN M3!): https://www.e90post.com/forums/showp...77&postcount=3

If you google "midnight blue BBS RG-R" they are just about the only ones around

The front 8.5 +35 wheel is not a very good fit for an e9x M3 and is much better suited for a non-M e9x car. That offset isn't aggressive enough, and the wheel width isnt an upgrade for wider tires if performance mattered. You would need a 5mm to 7.5mm spacer just to get it to fit like a stock front m3 wheel, and most people run 15mm to 20mm spacers up front on the stock wheels to get them to fit better. For a flush fitment with an 8.5" +35 wheel, you would need to run a 35 mm spacer which, IMO, is too much for a street car. Otherwise, the wheel will look very pushed into the wheel well.

The rear 10" +25 will fit better. For a flush fitment, on an e9x m3, you would want to run a 10mm or 12mm spacer and a 275/35 tire.

Thanks, Mineral! I know some folks like to go for super-flush, but (and I could be wrong here)...
Aren't the standard e90M3 Wheels...
  • Front: 19x8,5J x 19" ET29
  • Rear: 19x9,5J x 19" ET23
...And the competition wheels...
  • Front: 19x9" ET31
  • Rear: 19x10" ET25
...so with a 7mm spacer in the front I think these RGR's would sit identically (from a "flushness" standpoint) to the OEM competition wheels. From a width standpoint they'd offer similar-to-better sidewall support vs the standard OEMs, but...RGRs!

I get your points, though. Regardless: Don't want to thread jack, so MOAR awesome M3 BBS Photos Please!

EDIT: Correction, I was rusty on the wheel specs of my wheels. The Fronts are ET32, not ET35. Numbers corrected above.

Looks great! Have been curious what it would look like with no spacers, thanks to your photo, it works well. Thank you.

Apologies for forgetting to update - this pic actually has a 5mm in the front to clear the strut, due to ECF rim protectors. But visually, it should maybe look better without the spacer since there's a tiny bit of poke up front.

18x11 +37 (12.5mm spacer)

Falken RT660

Installed yesterday, thinking about going a tad lower, but this height is functional and works.

Nah it looks good like that. As you said, functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

Can't wait to throw mine on.

True, it’s ironically more functional than my daily 😂. This is angle def hides the wheel gap, but when I mean lower, its probably no more than a quarter inch to close up the gap in the rear.
