I've driven the E90 M3, the E92, and the E93.

I now own a '13 C63. It is one of the most neutral cars I've ever driven. Yes, it's a bit on the heavy side but man is it a joy to drive. Steering feel is incredible. So predictable and easy to control once you decide to step the rear out.

I just shake my head whenever I see someone flippantly say, "Oh the M3 just handles so much better . . ." or "The C63 is faster, until you add a corner." Just absolute nonsense. On the road, the 2012+ C63s are 100% as capable as the E9X M3s. On tight, technical tracks, the C63's weight becomes a bit of a penalty and the M3, being the lighter, more surgical instrument, gains a slight advantage. Even then, the C63 delivers 90% of what the M3 can. This extraordinary handling advantage for the M3 is fairytale stuff.

This is true and I say all the time. I drove the C63 with the auto before the MCT (or whatever Merc calls) it and it was great on the track, though I think it needs wider tires. Def has a slight bit better steering feel than the M3 and def very capable. In all honesty, 99% of people would be faster in an RS5 than they would an M3 or C63 any day of the week.

Glad to know there are some reasonable enthusiasts around that appreciate a car for what it is, irrespective of the badge it wears!

sfury, what tune are you running on your C63?

And Wolf, you're right about the tire width as a limiting factor. However, I do appreciate the fact that I can have more "fun" on the street with the narrower tires.

RS5 = incredible car.

Haha ain't that the truth. The Eurocharged tune is mighty impressive. Enjoy in good health.

C63 has smaller tires. Put equal tires on the C63 and E90 M3 (with sunroof) and I think it'd be pretty darn close. C63 is a VERY impressive car on track.

The 991 S is ridiculous.

Theyre all amazing cars. People forget that they are all so, so close, and the ISF is right there too. Just comes down to personal preference...and thats subsequently where the biases come in. Each offers something slightly different than the others which gives it the appeal it has.

I went from an E92 DCT to a porsche Cayman R and then added a C63 coupe with PP. I have to say that the Porsche is the most fun to drive but the C63 may be the all around best car when you factor 4 real seats, violent acceleration, solid feel, great steering and the best exhaust sound ever... gonna hang on to this one for a long time.

Just picked up a CLS 63 sAMG. I've been in love with the AMG exhaust note

Garage List
i recently changed my dd from an E61 5-series (which had various annoying issues i didn't know from my older BMWs) to a C63T-P31.

i really love the c63 and its engine although i am really no fan of the brand in general (i always prefered bmw and porsche and still do, but the C63 is something special). straight line performance is incredible, even compared to the E92. the sound is wonderful, even in stock config (e92 needs at least the well-known mod to sound like it should).
you really can feel the massive torque of the 6.2l enging! and there is so much more performance sleeping in it with some software upgrade and after installing a shorter ring and pinion (as the stock 2.82 final drive could bring you to a theoretical yet mad ~410km/h). but as i drive this as a daily driver it is nice to drive 200km/h with 3.500U/min... my E92 6MT makes 130 at 3.500 with the original final drive.

when driven hard (or in the wet in general) the c63 has massive traction problems. i really love that and with the (optional but absolutely necessary) clutch-type lsd you can have so much fun...

the M3 has the slow-performing viscolok lsd as standard. it really annoyed me and upgrading to a clutch-type lsd is a must-do if you want to have the same fun like in the merc.

as my M3 is not only upgraded at the lsd-side and i need to compare coupé vs. touring this is not really objective but i indeed think that the M3 is the sportscar of these two while the merc is a rocket that definitely is fun to drive on winding roads. but it is not as focused and involving as the M3 (especially in 6MT version)! i also clearly feel the weight of the C63t when pushing hard... especially under braking. the M3 feels lighter... and actually is.

anyway... i love both... and i don't think there is a real winner or looser when comparing these two cars. both are great and both have their special pros (and nearly no cons... except fuel consumption maybe *lol*).

compared to the 991 these cars are way more practical, of course. except that, the new porsche is a great road racer with a tough pricetag!

To quote Chris Harris (regarding the LCI C63 vs. the E90 M3):

"Having run both for longer periods as everyday wheels, I think the Merc is a better all-rounder."

Gorgeous! Love the 507/Black Series hood. Those nostrils/vents make the hood look even more menacing.

The Eurocharged v4 tune is outstanding. It unlocks that extra power that the 6.2L V8 is easily capable of producing.

Eurocharged also has top notch customer services. I would advise you to go for it (if you haven't already).

My apologies for failing to see your post earlier!
