To the OP, I have not made this move nor do I plan to. I've had 14 BMW's over the years. This was definitely one of my favorites. The shriveling of your nutsack when a real man in a real M3 pulls up next to you lasts only so long. Once you get over that, it's actually a very enjoyable car. Top down with an exhaust is fantastic. I drive through Times Square several days a week in the summer on my commute home and no one seems to mind the exhaust. Also, no one seems to mind that the car is 400lbs. heavier than its coupe counterpart. Thank goodness. Can you imagine the shame and horror??? In all honesty, I never considered the coupe. While the coupe is definitely a great car, the E93 just felt a bit more mature to me. I had never owned an M3 and wanted to get it out of my system. The vert seemed like the most logical choice for me. My 2 boys absolutely love the car and top down at night and select times on the weekends is quite special. Good luck in your choice. You really cant make a bad one if your choosing between these 2 cars.
All the best

My real issues are as follows: 1. Have an 08, if I go to say a 10' or 11' cost is a factor 2. The weight is an issue 3. BMWCCA will not let you track the E93 despite the hardtop 4. Senility, yes senility. I seem to forget stuff in my car occasionally, and with the top down, its easily stolen (the one time I fogot to put my escort away in my E46 vert...gone. All that said, love having the top down and really love the car.
