+ 1.

Just my 2 little cents, but in the long run, you might regret it maybe......? For example, you'll be looking at the telephone icon on your wheel knowing it doesn't work.

Don't forget resale down the road. The retrofit may made more sense.

It sucks all around, who cares about the measly check.

I wouldn't even deal with the guy who told you were wrong over at BMW Mtn View. I just wouldn't trust his word anymore. Maybe you can send an email to BMW USA to figure out what really happened, you know?

In either case, enjoy the car man. I love every minute, and honestly I barely listen to music...the engine is music (perfect shifts are music) AND I when I'm having a fun time driving, taking a call on craptooth totally disrupts the whole experience. You can put that check to good use on some accessories.
That's how I think about it. The fact of the matter is, even if these options would not be standard I would not have ordered them. I wanted my M3 pretty bare bones - just the 19inch, dynamic damper and PDC. My previous car was a fully loaded 335i. After using it for 3 years I found that I really never ever used any of the tech features it had, so I figured why bother. For me the engine and handling is what it is all about.

Regarding the retrofit - sounds stupid but I totally forgot to ask. My CA called me up at work and basically gave me these two options. I did shoot him an email this afternoon asking him if the retrofit could even be an option.

Yes, a smart man would give the car back and order a new one. I just won't be able to handle the additional 3 month wait. The 3 months it took to get here was hard enough already.

See if you can keep this one until your new one arrives. BMWNA is going to have to handle this one way or the other so it shouldn't be hosing your dealer.

So something seems off with my car:

- It is supposed to have bluetooth, but the menu doesn't display it as a configurable feature
- I ordered PDC (it is on the sticker too) My rear bumper has the PDC sensors, but my dash is missing the PDC button. Did I mention it doesn't work either?
- 2012s should come with the usb/ipod adapter, though unfortunately they forgot to install this in my car as well.

Tomorrow I will call my CA, but I am wondering if anybody on this forum has had experience with missing factory standard features. Maybe they built my 2012 car as a 2011?

Cheers
Button is only for front PDC. 2012 models just use regular Ipod cord (the one that come with you ipod or iphone).

Missing factory standard features

My 2014 x1 is missing the switch for the heated steering wheel. Dealer has offered me a couple hundred dollars in place of missing feature. Seems low to me. Looking for your comments.

I would have them installed. Can you secure a new M3? Those options are crucial to alot of people.
