I'll start with some more recent cars since I'm 43 and have owned a few cars. Starting around 12 years ago:
1962 MGA MKII - sold (sad day)
1995 Toyota Camry (owned at the same time, wife drove) - gave away recently
The dark ages began... (actually, boat ownership drove the car buying decisions)
1994 Chevy 1500 - sold
2003 GMC 2500 HD crew cab (kids forward facing car seat didn't fit in the old truck) - sold
2003 GMC Envoy XL (still have)
2004 BMW 545i (sweet car, but the auto tranny sucked) - sold
2009 Chevy Traverse (still have)
2011 BMW M3 (just got about a month ago)

I take a train to work so I keep the Envoy on the work side of the commute so I can drive it to work from the train station.

Wow, can't believe some of these long lists!

1991 Honda Civic CX - sold - cheap ass on gas and lasted four years in college.
2002 Toyota Corolla - sold - another great car with great mileage! This car summarized everything about Toyota for me... boring, no style but reliable and cheap to maintain
2007 BMW 335i - sold - my first big jump to german cars!
2009 Audi A4 3.2 - sold - it was a great car but after 335i felt a little underpowered (265hp)
2011 BMW M3 - current - loving it!
2011 Audi S4 - current - just a better version of A4... great car all around... especially in winters.

HAHA! Does that mean if a Honda Civic passed you, you would sell the M3 for one?

More than I can list here but the more memorable ones are:

- E46 330 Coupe. 90,000 trouble free miles

- Triumph Stag. Worst thing I ever owned.

- Nissan 200SX. Surprisingly quick and reliable.

- Vauxhall Magnum. OMG. Very bad

- Early minis. Including Cooper S. Fun

Nothing that comes close to the M3

1979 volvo...needless to say this car is a little faster. Althought I don't think it can take a hit from an 18 wheeler.
