Damn, $4.3K+ and couldn't even paint the damn thing black? And make it hang less? No thanks. Plus it's very similar to stock (I actually like the stock tone better, especially when revving), just a bit louder.
Like somebody said, no way in hell it's $4,300 better than stock. In fact, I probably wouldn't even pay 2 grand. It should have been a $500 or $1,000 factory option (sport exhaust) since the beginning, depending on material (Ti or s/s). |

+1. I forgot to mention that in my small rant. The sucker is every bit (or maybe even more) ugly and low hanging than the stock unit. Ugh... BMW....

Best part of this was the video and the ///M logo etched onto the tips... That said, I agree with most of the opinions here... Tischer already has it listed on their site for $4k if i remember correctly. Still way too much money though...

$4k + to the great video, a way to advertise to fool anyone. As for the exhaust, I wouldn't pay $4+ for a shitty welding, I'd get myself a nice and clean akra. This is another BMW rip off.

I think I just pissed in my pants watching that video. Awesome exhaust but fucked up pricing. Now if I could somehow get that exhaust to fit a 335, the price might be justifiable...

Anything asking price over $2k in the USA is laughable, IMO. Asking $4k+, I'm looking at a couple of more $k and there's Kreissig F1 which is in another league altogether. BMW needs to get a clue on construction materials and pricing.

Help me understand why you would change the stock exhaust to begin with. The weight savings and hp gain appear minimal. That's with this exhaust or any aftermarket exhaust. It seems the real difference is sound. Now, if you like the sound of this exhaust, and you will not have any dealer problems when the M goes in for service, why not purchase this one?

As many many have stated, the video was the best part. The price tag is through the roof. So I guess some of you will have to decide how to spend that crazy amount of money. Let's see.....individual paint, ///M exhaust, or my damn pocket....hum at this point my pocket sounds good. Oh one side note, I'll take a Dinan exhaust to go please

If I had to venture a guess I would bet that the increases in hp & torque are superior to most all aftermarket mufflers, which don't do anything.

Additional components included:
2 intermediate pipes (also made of Inconel®). Fastening clamps. Installation time is approximately 45 minutes. Residual Information: The M Performance exhaust can be residualized.

-Better sound (louder or different sound quality) -Better looks (esp. getting rid of that hanging udder look) -Weight reduction (you can save 40 or so lbs which can be a huge part of a meaningful weight reduction program for the car)

Gents - get the RPI axle back for $1700 or less on sale...ditch the ugly, bulky appearance hanging at the back and get a pure symphony to hear and feel without rasp. Spend the other $3M on cool mods.
I've had mine now for over 1.5 yrs on my `08 and turn heads and get grins constantly...I live in the Twin Cities and it's subjected to harsh winter chemicals and still looks and sounds great!!! The quality is outstanding and the sound is intoxicating. ...my 2cents
