Yup, US spec auto for me through military & diplomatic sales. I spoke to the guy at the dealership about the Euro bumper & he told me we were the lucky ones that we didn't have to pay the price the local nationals do.

Ordered up the Euro light switch, performance grills & trunk shelf from the dealer today.

Just got hit for a 1750 Euro tranny overhaul on the wifes 320iA. That's $2500 - Wouldn't mind putting it towards a new exhaust but not a a tranny rebuild. It just went over 100K miles.

Thanks - I origanlly ordered the sunroof but thankfully changed my mind. I think it looks much better without it & don't have to carry the extra weight. I didn't use it much on the 335. The sun was setting when my wife took the pictures.

Naw, the locals think the reflectors are ugly as hell too. A couple guys in the dealership told me it looks much better without the reflectors & didn't understand why BMW put them there...

maybe you could file an insurance claim due to someone "backing into" your front bumper, requiring you to get a new bumber that just happens to be a euro version haha. just kidding!

Nice ride, gives me a grin seeing it. Mine should be finished on th 6th. Did you notice any other differences?

I'm not the OP, but here are the differences I noticed. The front kidney grills now have black vertical bars instead of chrome, the heated seat buttons have moved to the main HVAC control panel and the REST button has been replaced with the ALL button which allows the passenger temp to be linked to the drivers temp. I also understand that HD radio is now standard.

Yup, everything Cabinetman said and it was also stated before that the voice command software is much improved. You are able to input an address, by saying the Zip, street & house #. If worked flawlessly for me. There are many more voice commands and if you forget them, there is a command that tells you the voice commands. You are able to moniter your speed by digital read out on your instrument panel but then you don't have the outside temperture available.

I like this function because it's much easier to read as the wheel is never in the way. Especially over here where everything in in km's.

Traffic information doesn't work anymore like it did on my 08, but that's by design of a software update. Not sure why they made 'em like that.

Looks great, thanks for showing us the change with the heated seats button.

I'm very curious where they are going to put the button for the rear sunshade. My guess is that it's going to go near the window switches because it would be weird to have one button in the middle in front of the shifter.

Sweet ride, time for me to upgrade

I like it. It looks nice with the HVAC cluster.

However, if you have the power sunshade (like I do), that button sits pretty alone in a strip down below. On mine, it is surrounded by the heated seats button.
On yours, it's not an issue since that strip is not present.

I looked in the manual and the sunshade control is located in the same cluster of 6 buttons under the climate control. Along with the sunshade is hill decent control and PDC. The other three buttons appear to be unused as there is no icon on them. I have PDC with nav and don't have the PDC button. I'm guessing the PDC button/light is only for those without nav or for another model 3 Series?

Cabnetman - or anyone else for that matter - do you know if the REST functionality is now completely gone, or is there some way to activate it still? Don't get me wrong, I've never used it (but have tried to get myself to remember to try it out - with no success

) and would much rather have the ALL button in my car. Still, I always though that the residual heat (REST) functionality was pretty cool, so it's a little sad to see it go (if it has).

I also wonder openly if it is possible to retro-fit the new HVAC control panel to an older car? I suppose I should search on that because someone is probably already on it (Technic?

).
