Looks great

These lights looks awesome, but I cannot justify spending $500+ dollars on them. If prices goes down to $ 200+ then I will consider buying them. Just my opinion.

The reality is that they technically ARE in the $200+ price range...it's the additional cost of doing the install that adds to the cost & is a cost that can be negated, if you do it yourself, or will be similar if you find another place to do it for you.

Personally I think this is one mod that's meant for those who are pretty much done with basic cosmetic mods (wheels, drop, lip, etc....)

I have seen the ring in person and man this shit is best angel eyes out there available, worth every penny.

I was very interested when I first came across these. However, going through with the procedure will void your headlight warranty and possibly the electrical warranty. I spoke with the head technician at Vista BMW and told me there is a sealant that is used on the headlight when it's installed and once you remove the headlight it's never the same as factory. With all these in mind I decided not to go with the procedure.

That's a load of crap with regard to the sealant. You will have zero issues if the headlight is handled and resealed properly in a humidity-controlled environment.

I personally modified my STi headlights and they were *perfect* for 5 years after that - the new owner still has not had any issues - so close to 6 years. There is a long history (8+ years) of people doing this kind of work to OEM headlights without issue. The key is the person doing the work.

I can't speak to the electrical system, but I'm sure OSS can.

We've had many customers in Florida w/ the OSS Designs setup bringing their car for service with no issues. The sealant Luis uses for the install is the same as OEM btw. No complaints or issues from any clients about the headlights fogging up

That's what the technician told me, but you said it yourself "in a properly humidity controlled environment." That being said, Miami, FL isn't of the driest conditions as well as defining "properly handled and resealed." It's too big of a chance for me and that's why I decided not to do it.

talk about $$$$ no one (or very few) would ever shell out the amount of money to buy a plug n' play version. The OEM headlights are just too expensive.

I think the closest current Plug n Play version of these is Lux. But the Lux aren't as nice as these. These look great -

Some night time pix here... OSS FTW!

Mike, thanks for the setup and stellar service. I'm the customer at RENN-Spec that was having certain issues with error messages. All fixed now. Props for working with RENN-Spec and team to get everything perfect!

Exellent! cool pics with low exposure to catch the individual LEDs

Yeah we had our first encounter with a error variance there, but luckily we resolved it..Thanks to Rennspec as well for being patient with us and we look forward to doing more setups! so now for 2008 and up M3s that Navi we will do the error code setup a little different. No biggie though, thank god that worked out.

Glad you like em!

Its not a problem. there's no technician in Miami that knows anything about the insides of these headlights, as BMW dealers and mechanics do not service headlights, they only exchange with a new set. So honestly they wouldn't know and are not qualified to give you a valid opinion. I've hung out with the local head mechanics and techs from Braman and South and they are great at what they do but I belive I have more experience in this area than they do.

I properly handle them and more importantly there's no such thing as a hermetically sealed BMW headlight!!!. They ALL have drainage outlets with rubber hosing so irregardless of opening and closing them or what the atmospheric conditions would be, there cannot and will not have any variances or differences after the retrofit. I definitely dont drop a cup of water in them while their open so it's all good, and I am working in an AC environment. Counting of course that I seal them exactly the same. and so far so good with plenty of satisfied customers.

as far as warranty, that is also not a problem, as if for some reason the car has a defective set of headlights...ANYONE can send them back, I will return them back to stock and they can have them serviced for a new factory set under warranty, like nothing ever happened. Sure that can be tedious for an "out of towner" but locals have that reassurance with me so that makes you even luckier..LOL
