Yes, 10 years isn’t the 50 that AP has been building brakes for, but it’s not 6 months, and it’s half the price.

Certainly appreciate your opinion though.
Thank you for your opinion as well.

I have already went with Brembo which has been around for a very long time along with Project Mu brake pads. I replace rotors every year and go through pads every 2-3 track days. Replacement and maintenance parts availability and reliability is a high priority.

I believe I go to the same track days as you but I am having a hard time believing you need to replace your rotors after 2-3 track days. What are you seeing on your rotors that require annual replacements after 2-3 days?

I've inspected mine the past 2years with about 6-7 days and I don't see anything that requires rotors replacing yet.

Haha, yeah, it is more than 2-3 track days a year. That's for the pads I use.

I don't need replacement rotors every year but on average about once a year depending how many days I am doing.

I'm surprised I haven't ran into you yet at any event!

How many days do you go annually?

This year I have been to 4 so far. Last year I did 9 track days, I burned out a bit because of that.

Usually I run with Speed SF and On Grid but I'll do any track day if it's a good config and price. I tend to avoid Sonoma even though that's my closest track. Waiting for cheaper 90db days at Laguna after the repave. Thill is way too hot in the summer.

If you've seen a black M3 sedan that is mostly stock and looks brand new condition, it's probably me.

After calling around and asking folks about this kit, it sounds legit. Really nice. I just put down my group buy deposit, so you can add me to the list.

Thanks!

Here's my car at Thunderhill in May. I am running TE37 SLs currently for track. Besides a few bolt ons, it is mostly a stock car.

Come say hi if you see me! I'll do the same.

GB Update (also edited into the main post)

Turns out we're closer than I realized. While only 4 people posted here, 6 have made a deposit so we're more than half-way there and just need 4 more folks. I talked to the Paragon crew and they've extended the GB by 2 more weeks to 9/4 to get us to the finish line.

so. close!

(the rears aren't part of the GB, i just needed rear disks anyway and these weren't much more than OE)

Got them installed last night, but haven't put the wheels back on yet bc I ran out of time to bleed the system, going to do that today.

First off - the difference between the rotors is nuts. Not even the overall diameter so much as the vane count and thickness

Instructions were great. The only issue I ran into was that their diagram had the bracket going inboard of the knuckle, which seemed weird (since it would make the bolts inaccessible without the caliper and rotor off). It was weird for a reason -- it was wrong.

The most trouble I had had nothing to do with the kit. I also went to replace my rears and they were frozen on good. Overnight soak w/ PB blaster, 3lb sledge, nothing. Thankfully 5 mins with a heat gun broke them loose.

Other than being pretty and visually matching I'm not sure the rears are worth it, fwiw. I think they're slightly lighter, and a two piece, but the OE ones are 2 piece too, and I don't think these are floating like the fronts.
