I do. I let it run in the driveway for about 5 min then I drive it very cautiously keeping the rpm's below 2,500. Never lugging the engine. Just drive it. Idling is not really great for an engine.

And you will not break the thing by revving it to 4K when cool. If this actually caused issues, every rental car ever would be fooked.
