Here are my two toys and both are orange which strangely didn’t occur to me until I brought the M340 home and had it sitting next to the Z900RS

If you give me until the weekend I might be able to show a bike and car in same shot but I own (currently) six BMW bikes, six BMW convertibles, and probably at least ten other BMW sedans and coupes from model year 1957 to 2013. Here's the newest bike: ![]() And here's a recent driveway shot showing some daily-drivers: ![]() I've got a shot around here somewhere of my first, second, and third BMWs (two bikes and a car) all taken together back in 1972. I'll look for it after work. Here it is. Probably taken in 1972. My first BMW on the left, next in the middle, and third on the right. ![]() Last edited by BMWCCA1; 09-04-2020 at 09:06 PM.. |

Truth Bomb. A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Not to say I am stuck on a brand...
The E46 was my first Bimmer, I had ridden the bikes for many years and I had no idea they made cars ... so well. |

Not a great shot, but happy with both of these below.
2021 X5 x40i M Sport 2016 GSX-R 750 Not pictured, and not a BMW, but... 2003 F-250 6.0 PowerStroke (w/ 280k miles and still running like a champ). Don't know which vehicle I'm happier with yet. ![]() |
