i had escort 9500i .. and it didnt even work :S for a system that expensive.. i had to keep me eyes open all the time .
there could be a cop beside me and the radar would even pick it up .. an i have the laser jammers and radar stuff.. yet speed traps could still pick up my speed.. no offence but at the end of the day.. it only looks good haha

I have had success (non laser)...the radar does not pick up on cop cars (beside you or not) just ones with the radar on and focused. I can count at least half dozen times when I have been warned far enough in advance to have slowed down. Last edited by darklord; 01-30-2010 at 12:46 PM.. |

The 9500ci in the car was very pretty good IMO - it'll only go off it it detects a signal from the car, i.e. the police car would have to have their band on which not all of them do. Some Toronto OPP cruise around the city with KA band on which will give you a heads up - but it's a band detector, not a car detector.
I've been lucky never to have the jammers needed - albeit those Infiniti active cruise systems do set them off if directly behind you. Be careful with the jammers to shut them off if you do get hit (after slowing down).. some of the newer laser guns can give the police enough info to pull you over (jamming codes etc.) Martin Quote:

I don't fight my tickets, I get them erased! Expensive though!
PM me if you need too, but I'd only do it if the ticket is BIG!

interesting...is this a sure thing? obviously it would be quite expensive to do but when dealing with those really big tickets it might pay off

the escort is suppose to be a good system.
im sure that kmph will give us a deal if we want to get like 5+ systems. my suggestion to you guys is to go with the sti-r. since its more of a concealed system . it is undectable and cops cant see that you have it. the sti driver is also good just not as concealed as the sti-r though it all depends on budget. spoke with kmph this morning and since the sti-r doesnt have laser jammer it only works good against radar. the suggested taht those who have the sti should look into the blinder m47 xtreme or the laser park pro . they recommended the laser park pro over the blinder because the jammers are smaller and less noticeable. just thought i would pass on the info. ive had people using the beltronics sti-r for a few years and they ahve no compliants.

Hey Guys I contacted a forum member regarding the group buy. He is offering some kind of close to employee pricing. His pricing for single units is:
Passport 9500ix $ 499.95 $ 400.00 Passport 9500i $ 449.95 $ 375.00 Passport 8500 X50 Red $ 309.95 $ 275.00 Passport 8500 X50 Blue $ 349.95 $ 300.00 Solo S2 $ 339.95 $ 290.00 STi Driver $ 499.95 $ 400.00 PRO RX65 Red $ 339.95 $ 290.00 PRO RX65 Blue $ 379.95 $ 330.00 Let's see how much we can get with a possible group buy. Is anyone down for something similar to these prices? |
