Does anyone have the Bin file? I cannot download the file as it keeps stating my vin number is not correct. I tried the last 7 digits, first 7 digits, not sure what i'm doing wrong.
I have a 2011 M3.

FYI: your VIN will not work if your car does not have the hardware to be updated. That's the purpose of the VIN entry, to weed out the riff raff (M3Post new motto).

Yep, there is a built in "Riff Raff" filter when you enter your VIN and it will notify you that no updates are available for you vehicle or it will direct you to a download if your vehicle qualifies. Last night it was not recognizing any VIN's at all regardless if they qualify or not.

The dealer just called, they can't figure it out and suggested I call BMW NA.

Does this work if a CIC retrofit has been performed? I do not think the VIN check will work, as it will see the old CCC iDrive.

For the life of me I can't get my car to update... Very frustrating! I've been to the BMW website, checked the VIN. UPD01004.bin is downloaded and in the root directory of my USB drive. Go to the car, see that I am indeed running an older version so I insert the USB drive into the slot in the center console and get messages to the effect that no compatible software is on the USB drive. Not sure where I'm going wrong but I tried this back in Dec when the update came out and just tried again. No luck...
Edit: And yes my car has the combox. Sept 2010 build...
