Exactly, its mostly for the beginning because many people may not be sure exactly what color temp they want and being able to change without shutting the car off every time makes it easier. I just like having that option. |

Installed V4 tonight. Very nice result. It's really brighter than V3 and 5700K match with OEM light packet!
My only complaint is when I turn off the car and leave... LED are changing color @ 12000K during ~ 1 second with a bit flickering. Can't wait to see V4 in daylight. Seems a great product from LUX!

I think you need to have your lights on or set to auto for them to go when you lock/unlock the doors.

Do you have your headlight switch on Auto or On?
My headlight switch is set to Off, and I just locked and unlocked my car 6 times. The Lux V4's don't even go on.

I see the issue. Turn your headlight switch off. You must be leaving it in Auto or On.
This is what happens if the switch is set to Auto on my car. I think the shutdown is pretty cool.

I too have the same white-to-blue shutdown sequence. I assume its normal, but I haven't decided if I like it yet.

The white-to-blue shutdown sequence only happens to me if the headlight switch is set to ON or Auto.

Interesting. So if the light switch is set of "OFF", then there isn't any white-to-blue action when locking the car? I'll have to try that. However, I leave the switch in AUTO 100% of the time, so I'm not sure how that will help me. Thanks for the info.

Yup, I couldn't hold myself back. The V3s have decent resale value, so the true upgrade cost wasn't THAT much (<$100). It was worth it to me!
