Mpower7 are you still having a problem? Because getting this thing to pass inspection for me has been a nightmare. Over $1200 in repairs and 350 miles. Still get the same "not ready". Now the mechanic is telling me there's nothing he can do until it throws a code. Because of this I cannot register or inspect my car

You're in better shape than me then. It looks like we have the same scan tool and I'm getting incomplete on the following evap system, secondy air, o2 sensor monitoring and oxygen sensor heat monitoring. At this point I feel like I'm wasting my time driving the car. What exactly do you mean by stage 1? Unfortunately when it comes to Tunes all the ones I've seen turn off the secondary air system which will cause some sensors to not show ready. You will have to flash it stock. |

Failed my first test - e90 M3 I picked up had test pipes and a BPM stage II tune. Readiness was failing - I had just swapped the throttle actuators a week before and disconnected the battery. No codes were showing - just failed readiness portion with 'not complete' for Cats and O2. Did the OBD drive cycle 2-3 times in the past 24 hours - took the car back and passed.
2:30 - Cold start with as many items putting load on electrical as possible 3:15 - 20-30mph 15:00 - 40-60 mph 5:00 - Stop and idol before shut off and restart Toughest part was finding roads with no stop signs or cars pulling out in front of you. Key was to keep RPM below 3000 and speed below 60. Good luck - glad it worked for me as I didnt want to re-install cats and flash back to stock or mess with O2 extenders, etc. |

o2 sensor still not ready then i took an extended drive, keeping it mostly 45-55 mph under 3k rpm and the car was finally ready after that passed smog today i probably put about 150 miles on the car in the past 3 days just for the purpose of getting it ready for the smog check

For the last step, after you drive for 15 minutes going 55mph, you decelerate, what do you in a 6MT? It says don't brake, shift gears, or press the clutch??? You come to a stop and stall then?

Battery went dead and I needed to redo my OBD readiness. I was able to get all but 1 done today... took about 50 miles.
Looking at the instructions, it looks like "Secondary Air" requires a cold start idle for 2 min. Is that idle in park, idle in gear? I assume that's also going to require a stone cold start in the AM? Have my NY inspection/emission test next week. Have always passed (BPM stage 1). Will it pass if Secondary Air is incomplete?

I thought you can have one monitor not ready and pass. So it should pass with Secondary Air incomplete. Here in CA, O2 has to be ready and you can pass with only one other monitor not ready.
