The longest I've owned one of my ///M3's is 2.5 years; shortest was a year. I was in multiple E46 ///M3's from 2003 to 2005, and multiple E9X ///M3's from 2008 until 2013. I've leased and I've done traditional purchases. It still didn't stop me from selling or trading them in.

Bought my first (3.0 e36) at 2 years old in '97 at 20 years old. Moved from that to a 3.2 version a couple of years later, and tho I visit porsche occasionally along with amg etc an m car is always calling. Had 3 e30's including an evo sport 2.5, this was probably my favourite car of all time.
36 now and currently on a '10 reg e92 which I love, no plans to change to an m4 for a couple of years till prices soften tho could be tempted my an f10 m5 next year. |

2nd M3. 25 days and counting (purchased June 18th). Likely won't keep it more than 6 months or a year; I get bored easily.
Last was a MY'02 Convertible I owned for 1 year (FEB 2009- MAR 2010).

Very interesting thread. I had my CPO E93 since mid June so 1 month in 4 days. Already put almost 1200 miles on it (which is a lot for me). Being that I bought it just as the F8x's started to release, I still get tempted by the F80 and was thinking about buying one new after I pay off this M in about 4 years. I thought I was crazy for wanting to own 2 M's but good to see that a lot of you do already.
I also wanted to do euro delivery but couldn't. I definitely want to do an ED with an M one day.

4 since 1996. E36, E46 x2, E92. What just talking with the wife today about which was the favorite. Tough decision. Still undecided. haha

I was an owner for 3 wonderful years from 6/2011. Would've probably kept it forever but circumstances and shit happens. Sold 6/2014. Have a great car now but the M3 was the G.O.A.T

No DCT though which a bummer but good excuse to get the manual. The 8 spd is great though if you want the auto. |
