My dealer estimates October 11th for my car to arrive in Houston, but will update with a more certain ETA once the car clears the VPC. I have a clear bra and several dealer-installed accessories to go on the car, so I probably won't take delivery until October 18th.

I did read about it, but I'm not putting much stock in those rumors. My CA would have told me about it today when I talked to him, but he didn't mention it. Clearly, he hadn't heard anything. You'd think that they'd make an announcement to the dealerships if it was an issue.

Interesting. The Patriot is still in Baltimore, but now she's docked on the other side of the river. She's scheduled to depart today.

It sounds like your dealer has lied to you about a couple of things. Disappointing.

I received an E-Mail confirmation today from PCD regarding my 23 Oct pickup, so now if BMW or the EPA delays the car, I guess I fly back home and they truck my car 1,900 miles all courtesy of BMW

Your car is on a ship in Chesapeake Bay, departing Baltimore for Charleston. Once it arrives at the VPC in Greer (a couple miles away from the port), your dealer should have a pretty good estimate of when it will arrive in NYC. My guess would be by the end of next week. I'd use that time to scare up a decent financing rate.

Then you may need to find a new dealer if your dealer is claiming that it doesn't know where your car is.

My dealer told me today that they have already had some '09 deliveries - I was essentially told that the 'EPA delay' is a bunch of bunk.

Did the car sustain any damage whilst enroute? P.S. The OC is worthless to begin with and is days behind, further more it does not tell you anyway when the car leaves the VPC. Only your dealer can track the car once it arrives at port! Ask them to look in their Pipe line detail screen and tell you what's going on. |

Ask your CA to pull a Vehicle Inquery report for your VIN and E-Mail it to you

She's docked in Charleston now.
http://mobile.vesseltracker.com/mobi...97&z=7&minus=- I must admit that I'm concerned, based on chez80's comments that our cars might have sustained damage as a result of Hurricane Kyle. Chez, I'd specifically ask your dealer if that's the case. Thats the only legitimate reason I can think of that your car would be delayed so long.
