The burble gains or actual horsepower?

They also take a bit of practice to get down perfectly, you let off around 5.5k rpms and slightly press the gas pedal in to control the burbles. I wasn't really used to it yet in the video but I've perfected it now, makes for some sweet tunnel music As for power gains, on 91 I did feel a nice jump in upper rpm power. Was really surprised at just how noticeable it was, for the record I am completely straight piped with an RPi GTM race exhaust. I was really happy with my 91 tune. Then Alex asked me if I was able to get any higher octane fuel, as 91 is garbage and I wasn't unlocking the full potential of my M3. I stopped by Sunol Super Stop and filled up on 94 octane and filled a separate 14 gallon drum up with 101 octane to mix into my 91 later. Alex sent me my new 94 map and we installed it. The gains, according to the butt dyno, are massive. I couldn't and still can't believe how much gains are felt. It feels like a completely new car, pulls extremely hard, especially after 5,500 RPM's. You know that feeling you get when you first drive a fast car and it kind of scares you a bit? Same effect lol. With this new tune I was able to walk away from a C63 AMG very convincingly. I highly recommend Alex and his tune, I am going to try and get on a dyno soon but I am in the process of wrapping my car and have to get an alignment soon. Here are some before and after numbers (93 is supposed to be 94) View post on imgur.com Last edited by vvzzxx; 09-22-2017 at 10:02 PM.. |

Just wanted to leave a quick feedback post. Just got my 08 E92 M3 DCT tuned remotely by Alex. I was amazed at how smooth and quick the shifts were compared to stock. No more jerking while stopping or during slowing down and speeding up again in traffic.
Alex is very knowledgeable and is there every step of the way from helping me with installing the software needed on my computer to the steps needed on my side to getting the tuning/coding started. Highly recommend any DCT owner to get in contact with Alex for his tune and any coding needs you may have. Thanks again Alex for the tune, coding, and advice! |

They?re all pretty much the same since they?re off the shelf tunes.
Go with the one that provides good customer service. Last year it took me almost 2 months to get my GTS tune file from a prominent vendor on here so I?ll most likely look to Alex for an engine tune/coding in the near future. |

I want to get Alex's ECU tune (I already have his GTS DCT) but I'm on the fence with cold start delete. Since I installed Borla ATAK catback, it's insanely loud during the air injection. I started asking around about cold start delete and I consistently hear "it will cause your cats to fail early." Okay, how early? Is there any concrete evidence / research on that? Are we talking about cutting life in half or by 10%?
Cat delete isn't an option for me. Big +1 for dealing with Alex, great guy. |

Thanks Alex, that's helpful. I hadn't considered just letting it warm up a bit. I'll shoot you an email to talk about next steps.

Got the ECU tune from Alex yesterday. Great transaction, as expected. We talked more about the implications of doing a cold start delete when you still have the primary cats. I was willing to just live with making sure I warm it up prior to really getting on it (which you should do anyway) but then he had an idea. How about lowering the rev limiter even more if the oil is too cold?
Great idea and alleviates a little concern if some valet gets crazy with it. Now on cold start the limiter starts at around 3,500 - 4,000rpm range which is reflected on the tach. At first it was a little weird to start the car and see the limit indicator so far to the left but it works perfectly. I haven't driven it enough to let it fully adapt but it's already noticeable. I was running a really old software version so it's hard to say how much was the tune and how much was just updating to 241E. Regardless, the butt dyno is very pleased and generally it's just running "better." Sure, you can get the Dinan flash now for less but you don't get Alex, you don't get a bunch of maps to play with and you don't get to do it from the comfort of home. Easily worth the premium. |
