Who cares how many M cars they have... just as long as they make a proper one, light weight with high revving engine.. Since they won't make that, again, who cares how many M cars they have.. I'm not really interested in any of them...

Clearly the M-Division is taking cues from AMG. Doesn't bother me one bit.
Predictions: M3 Touring won't sell in the USA. Americans prefer SUVs over doofy wagons. M3 Gran Coupe sounds like an inspired idea and will sell better than today's sedans. Husbands everywhere will be buying their wives X3Ms secretly for themselves. All M3 models will continue to get larger and heavier offsetting whatever power increase it can squeeze under the hood. ... and I'll be dropping M3 forever and buy myself an upcoming 1M... the future's only real M3. If I wanted a monster engine pulling a ton of weight, I'd be driving a V10 M5... or worse yet a S65 AMG. Not my cup of tea. .

What do you mean no sedan?? what's the HUGE difference between Gran Coupe and sedan..I thought sedan owners, well the majority just wanted 4 doors, the Gran Coupe will have 4 doors..I don't get it

i donno mkoesel, this whole prediction thing is driving me nutts..and a little depressing too. I never drove a high revving engine before, and now that I got hooked up and was hopping for a 500HP 9000 redline all I hear is I6 and I4and MPG

You didn't get ZCP?! Are you f**king mad, dude? You spent all that money and you still just have a glorified Civic.

I bet the F3x M3 Gran Coupe will have 4 doors but only 4 seats
Hence the word "Coupe". You know, like the X6 is a Sports Activity "Coupe" (only seats 4). |

Yeah, that would be sweet, but there's no way that is happening. Efficient Dynamics is BMW's new mantra, and the all-turbo engine lineup is very muched baked into that initiative. I am not thrilled with these changes, but we have to accept it and move on. That means either a 7000RPM turbo-charged engine from BMW, or go elsewhere. The only thing is, if you go elsewhere, you are likely just going to find another flavor of turbo charging or forced induction on top of the same ice cream cone. Everyone seems to be convergently evolving toward the same government-issue powerplant. Rather like some sort of automotive communism, all this.

So sad to see the M brand being diluted...but BMW will still make huge amount of sales.
With the engines losing its high rev and NA we are in the last days of true M cars.
