Really bummed to hear this news. And really curious to hear what the cause of the failure was.

Likewise... but so far this has cost 10k and there's a lot more than that to be operational again. We've removed all the hpde and racing events from 2018

That sucks, sorry to hear this. Looking forward to your findings, maybe it can shed some light on some of the S65 short comings.

This failure has caused me to lower the EGT enrichment temp on my tune. Long live the cats!

You're like the best and worst person for this to happen to lol. Worst because you've dedicated so much to these forums. Best because you will document this failure in detail like all your posts! Haha. Sorry for your loss!

I'm pretty upset about it. I wish I had kept my block... having to put another block in it is sad. I like cars to be original!

We haven't checked yet. No oil on the floor or during the tow so it's not likely

I think the E90 won't be done until Christmas or so. The season's shot so there's no hurry. |

Sorry to hear about this.
If the pistons/rods are shot, I need a paperweight for my desk. Crank might be a bit large for a paperweight, but I could use it to motivate some coworkers! Best of luck on whatever you decide to do. I'm actually quite stunned no one said "LS7"...lol I'm very curious to see the rod bearings as even if they got some crap in them from the mains failing (if the mains did indeed fail), we should be able to see the wear patterns or lack thereof.
