Performance-one, can you take a pic from a little further away when you get a chance? Maybe door open from right outside? Trying to gauge how the lines flow with the interior design, which is my current hesitation with that style. “V1s” look more OEM but NLA in silver, which I prefer.
Also, how do they feel? Both the tactile click and just finger placement overall? Thanks again. |

Summer season is over, so I did not drive it since the paddle build...
Sure I tested the paddles in the Garage, feels good. Click is click, no difference I guess. The OEM pedals with the closed wave design on the back and the paint feels better. But I wanted to have some bigger ones. So these are the right deal for me. |

how long/difficult is the install? I have a red M button coming, and debating on waiting for paddles to install... I assume it's not something I want to do twice..

Its an easy install, you just have to take your wheel trim off, pop the airbag off and disassemble the paddle unit

Beautiful, thanks again. They look pretty good.
I agree the closed window is probably a better feel but OEM paddles are just too small - I’m with ya. Your pedal covers look nice too. Confirmed that I want aluminum finished paddles. |

Pedal covers are the OEM stainless steel ones.
Because of the small breakpedal (size like clutch or break pedal from manual E92), you have to buy the pedals for the manual gearbox version. Bolt on Options for the shift paddles? I personally don't like the clue on covers...! But for the E92 M3 I did not see that solution so far. Last edited by performance-one; 12-05-2018 at 02:55 AM.. |

What do you mean by "bolt on"? Changing out the paddles shifters literally takes 10 minutes. Is there an easier option?

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1138982[\URL] They also come in gunmetal or black. Since they were $35 I bought all 3 colors, but ended up going with the silver because it matches the gauge bezel and shift knob the best, the other 2 I just sold. |

^ That's great, thanks. That OP notes up front that he has not held other paddles. Do you know if anybody has actually compared/felt those Spec-M paddles and some from other vendors (e.g., Auto Technik)? Finishing looks just as good, but want to see if the fitment and tactile click is identical. I do think I like that style more than the newer one.

Big shoutout to @phantasticphan
Bought his black set of extended paddles a few days ago. They arrived today and I installed them when I got home. Regarding the install: This should take no more than 15 minutes total. I'd like to clear up a few questions again regarding installation. 1) The steering wheel does NOT need to be removed. Just push in the two airbag retaining springs and set it atop the wheel. You don't have to disconnect it either. The wires are long enough. Since this is the case you also do NOT have to disconnect the battery. 2) The steering wheel trim does NOT need to be removed. 3) Do NOT lose the ball bearing. 4) All paddles click the same as Phantasticphan mentioned. The paddle itself has absolutely nothing to do with the "click". If anyone thinks it does, take a closer looks at the assembly. You could put a thin piece of wood in the hole and the clicking sensation would feel the same. 5) The difference is immediate. Being able to grab the paddle down low (4&8 o'clock is a nice thing if your cruising) Pics: Last edited by Ab28; 12-10-2018 at 04:00 PM.. |

Do you guys have a handy link to the eBay seller of those paddles? Couldn't find with a quick search and the original post's listing is long down.

I bought 3 sets (1 silver, 1 gunmetal, 1 black) to see which one I liked the best and they were $35 shipped each set. The seller was from California. I'm not sure why the link above for the same paddles is more expensive but they are the same ones. Keep checking ebay. |

Polished with blue +/-
Not a great picture...flash on side window makes all the blacks look lighter than normal and the blues a bit brighter. But only pic i had of paddles that is small enough to let me upload. Last edited by firstbimmer; 01-29-2019 at 11:27 PM.. |

Love it. Paint finish from IND is superb and it matches well with the blue IND painted paddle insets. If you get the m button, make sure to scrape the paint off the raised guides before install otherwise the button will sit lower and unbalanced once installed.
